Looking at Macross Plus All the Anime would be £124.99 shipped with the early bird special. Which at the current exchange is like $158.99. So like a $31 difference if you have no other discounts.
It’s honestly not great on either side for the content especially if your only interested in the Video content. The book at 184 pages would probably bring up the cost a little bit but even then I feel at a $189.99 retail they are pricing a bit high. I’d say $130 to $150 is more a competitive price for what you are getting. Though to be fair it’s still cheaper then importing the somewhat English friendly OOP Jp release.
I think the biggest issue here is basically like most of the All the Anime stuff coming out here you can not order directly because of the deal with CR and not being available to common retailers like Amazon. It’s very much like some of the GoodSmile stuff being CR exclusives ,but at least in those cases the prices are not hey bend over first.
Personally going to pass on it, same thing with Yamada-Kun from Aniplex, Like both shows, but not at those prices
