Yes, they took the mangaka’s much simpler chapters that end volume 2 and ran with them. An excellent result. It’s stuff like this that keeps me watching.

I wonder why Funi couldn’t get the ova dubbed. Cost issues or time constraints would be my best guess, but at least we are getting a physical copy of it instead of being digital only.

I believe that simul-dubbing is unavoidably straining Funimation’s resources, so it would not surprise me that even had they felt it was necessary to have a dub of the OVA getting all the VA’s together might prove to be a logistical impossibility.

Checking the pricing on Amazon for this, there are already one star reviews that object to the handling of the dub. It must have really rubbed some folks the wrong way. ( Wonder what happens when you rub a Dragon the wrong way, nothing good I would assume. )
