I liked the way Takeo’s shirt kept changing during his date. Suna helped plan a nice birthday date for Yamato, but he kept bringing up Suna’s name too much. I know Suna is on his mind, but Yamato must be wondering why Takeo keeps bringing him up. Takeo says the sweetest things about Yamato in his head, but he really should give voice to them and tell Yamato those things.
Takeo finally tells Yamato about the surgery for Suna’s dad and she gets upset, saying that he should have told her sooner. Yamato wants Takeo to go to the hospital and she promises to finish the date by herself. He gives her the present and runs off as she cries.
Suna is not surprised to see Takeo, knowing that he would show up eventually. Still, Suna reprimands Takeo for leaving Yamato. However, I think Suna is glad to have Takeo there. Suna tells Takeo what happened with his dad and blames himself, but Takeo reassures him. Suna breaks down and cries, and Takeo gives him a pat on the back that would most likely kill someone. Dad comes through the surgery fine, but I had to feel sorry for the poor doctor. LOL
Suna and Takeo head home, but as they walk through the waiting room, there’s Yamato, waiting for them with paper cranes. She’s happy to hear the surgery was a success. And she did try to finish the date, but really wanted to be at the hospital instead. Although it didn’t work out 100%, Yamato still tells Takeo that it was the best birthday ever. It was funny too when both Yamato and Takeo decided that Suna needed a girlfriend – just like Takeo! All in all, a very nice episode.

A picnic to make up for Yamato’s interrupted birthday! And a day of hiking in the mountains. Yamato is wearing the pin Takeo gave her and it catches a bird’s eye. The bird takes Yamato’s sweater, but Yamato fights to get it back, almost falling off a cliff. Once again, it’s Takeo to the rescue! However, the momentum throws them both off the cliff. They fall to the bottom, but they are okay because of Takeo. He even managed to save the picnic lunch. Unfortunately, there is no way for them to get back up the mountain. Now, they have to find a way out of the woods, and there’s no signal on the cell phone.
Takeo promises to get Yamato home safely, but that might mean spending the night together. Alone. In the woods. They travel till it’s too dark to see and Takeo makes a nice comfy bed for Yamato. But will he be sharing it with her??? Ever the gentleman, Takeo stays up and protects Yamato from mosquitoes. Of course, by this time of night, family and friends start to worry. Or are they? That was pretty funny.
Takeo and Yamato finish the rest of the picnic lunch for dinner, but it seems that Yamato might be afraid of the dark and asks to hold Takeo’s hand. He wrestles with a charging boar and Yamato almost faints from fright. He reassures her and gives her a hug. And she almost fainted from that as well! The moon comes out and lights things up a bit. Takeo is certain that Yamato won’t be afraid now and suggests they get some sleep. I thought Yamato was going to faint again! LOL But they talk and look at the starry sky together.
Yamato confesses that she wouldn’t mind being lost in the woods forever as long as Takeo was with her. I enjoyed her vision of what that life would be like! But when Yamato turns to Takeo, he is fast asleep. She watches him sleep and confesses that she loves him. She even gives him a kiss on the cheek. The next morning, Takeo is covered in mosquito bites. He gets to watch Yamato sleep for a few seconds before she wakes up. She sees that Takeo is surrounded by woodland creatures. She knows they feel safe around him too.
They finally get back to civilization, but don’t want to leave one another. Too sweet! Of course, when Yamato meets up with her friends, they think something completely different happened in the woods, which was pretty funny. I’m just glad the episode didn’t end up like Grisaia! LOL Not that I thought it really would.

Such a sweet episode! Thank goodness Suna was around to help Takeo out when he needed it. And in what would have been the perfect setting for the couple’s first kiss, they get interrupted for fireworks. I could have murdered those two guys! Takeo and Yamato were going for their own fireworks, you clueless wonders! LOL Still it was a nice day out with everyone and a good chance for the relationship to progress, but I still have to agree with Suna – Takeo and Yamato are definitely not on the same page! At least not until they can communicate a little better.

Spoiler
Just because Yamato says that she’d like to go to the same college as Takeo, he’d like to please her. Obviously Yamato is a lot smarter and has chosen a top university. Not wanting her to change her choice, Takeo becomes a study demon. It’s not working and he needs help. Now, it’s Suna’s job to make Takeo smart!
First up, English vocabulary. I was laughing as much as Suna was, watching Takeo act out the words. However, I don’t think he’ll be able to do that on an actual test! And now Yamato tells Takeo that a benchmark exam is coming up and she’d like to take it with him.
Suna will help him study, but the best study aid Takeo requests is for Suna to say Yamato’s name. Then the study aid shows up in person to bring him sweets. I loved mom’s reaction! It’s an even better reaction when mom finds out that the pretty girl is Takeo’s girlfriend! Dad is just as bad. LOL
Takeo will study weekends as well and casually invites Yamato to come over. Mom accidentally wakes Takeo up at four in the morning by cleaning his room. Old things are replaced with brand new things all over the house and mom and dad get all dressed up too. As the doorbell rings, they are dancing around the house. LOL I guess they thought their “little” boy would never get a girlfriend!
Yamato notices the new sparkle to the home right away. As the two settle down to study, they are interrupted by dad, coming in to introduce himself – and get a good look at Yamato! After he leaves, they try to study again, only to be interrupted by mom, asking if they’re hungry.
She gets to taste Yamato’s special sweets and starts asking questions – like how long the two have been dating. Takeo tosses mom out of the room, telling her that they need to study. But I have to say that the part with the tea cup was funny! Dad’s turn again, asking Yamato if she’d like to watch some golf. While that’s going on, mom pops in, asking Yamato if she’d like more tea. Takeo is about to blow a fuse! But I knew they wouldn’t get any studying done at Takeo’s house.
So, the couple goes next door to Suna’a place and impose themselves, which is fine with Suna, since his parents aren’t home and Suna is studying as well. Yamato has a great idea to quiz Takeo – this should be good! With all the studying, Takeo eventually passes out. Suna tells Yamato how hard he’s been working.
While Suna goes to make tea, Yamato cuddles up next to Takeo, saying that she wants to stay with him forever. Suna catches her and Yamato panics, which wakes up Takeo, which makes Yamato panic even more. LOL Yamato eventually goes home, but I see mom and dad have been keeping an eye on her. I thought there for a minute that they were going to pull her into the house as she passed.
Takeo finds out that Suna is going to college as well and admits that he never thought about the future much until now. Takeo also wants Suna to go to the same college, but Takeo’s grades are definitely going to be a huge problem, even with all the studying he’s been doing.
The time for the exam arrives and all three take the test. Takeo confidentially answers all the questions, only to find that he skipped something, so all his answers are off. He frantically looks for the missed questions and begins to erase everything. But time runs out. He has no idea how he did now and apologizes to Yamato and Suna. They encourage him and he promises to do better on the next test.
And the results are in! Crestfallen, Takeo calls Yamato with his results, only to find out that she didn’t make it either. Well, they can all try for a different university together now. Besides, Yamato says that her first choice college was a woman’s college and Takeo would not have been able to go anyway. She tells him this now??? Suna overhears and starts laughing. He knew it all the time! Well, anyway, Takeo got some good studying done and if he keeps going, I’m sure he will end up at the same college as Yamato.

So, Kurihara and Nanako have just started dating and have already shared a first kiss. Poor Yamato looked devastated when she heard that. Especially since she and Takeo haven’t quite managed that step yet. Well, there was one indirect kiss, but does that really count? LOL
I liked the story of the star on the Christmas tree. It was really brave of Kurihara to go after it too. Definitely the way to win Nanako’s heart!

BONSAI! It’a a great big GIRL!
And Takeo is mistaken for the father. LOL
I was a bit worried about mom, but she’s okay. I had to laugh when Takeo told Suna that it was okay for him to marry his sister and Suna’s polite refusal. I can’t imagine him marrying someone as big as Takeo anyway. Looking at his new sister, Takeo also tells Yamato that he’d like to have a job helping other people. Yamato thinks she’d like to be a kindergarten teacher or a midwife.
Mom is with dad and finally realizes that her little boy is all grown up. Now they need a name for the new baby. Takeo liked watching Yamato holding the baby, and on the way home the trio wonder what the new baby will call her big brother. “Onii-chan”? “Nii-san”? Suna is certain it will just be “Takeo”. Which it probably will be! LOL
