I enjoyed this OVA, and it’s not bad, but it’s just not quite as enjoyable as the TV series or Fist of the Blue Sky. I personally was fine with Takehito Koyasu voicing Kenshiro in the Japanese audio; yeah, he certainly wasn’t Akira Kamiya, but he wasn’t bad at all.

I probably have to give this another view one day to be able to give it a proper overall view, as right now I’m not quite sure how to feel about this OVA. From what I hear this is a case where the English dub is actually better then the original Japanese audio…

The DVD collection for this recently went out of print, so if anyone is planning on tracking it down, you should probably do it quickly.

I got the Double collection that came with Neo Tokyo so I’m very happy.

I have the original 3 DVD’s with the paper artbox. It’s not a bad show ,but as FOTNS shows go its not as good as it could have been. The English dub does add something to it the Japanese audio feels lacking in. ADV had a pretty good record of doing that for a lot of shows. For most classes of Anime fans I’m putting this in worth at least one watch category .
