How do the Japanese have IVs? What wealth do these people have to offer “Gaius Yule-ee-us Kaiser”?
Why is Caesar not bald and why does he have Wiley Kit & Wiley Cat following him around?
The CG in this isn’t holding a candle to Aquarion EVOL’s, which I find odd. Sentai needs to get this out on bluray forthwith as Crunchyroll’s streaming quality is abysmal. How has the internet not ridden them out of virtual town on a not-so-virtual rail for this lack of quality?
Hmmm. Considering what Leonardo Da Vinci said about the newest regalia, there could be some problems with it in the long run lol.
While one of the great things about dubs is that they don’t have to cast like the Japanese* but right now Leonardo Da Vinci reminds me so much of Zen/Gen Fudo from Aquarion that I can’t help but rack my brain trying to think of a similar actor at Sentai’s disposal. It’s difficult to remember who could do that as older male characters aren’t all that common in anime.
So, one barely clings to life and one dies. Tragic! Even though he did it for Nobunaga, poor Mitsuhide will carry that guilt with him for the rest of his life, and he only adds to it when he casts blame on the enemy. I wish there could have been another way. With so much loss, Nobunaga is ready to go off the deep end too. The responsibility of all these tragedies is weighing heavily on him.
Nobunaga decides to ask Takeda directly if he was behind the assassinations. And he goes alone! But not quite – Ranmaru tags along as well. Takeda denies the charge and Nobunaga is satisfied with his answer. And of course there must be a duel as well. Takeda loses and I wonder who the real fool is – Nobunaga or Caesar? Apparently, lies and vengeance will keep the war going strong, but I wonder what Caesar expects to gain from all of this.
It’s a good thing that this show is channeling Horizon and thus can’t really be spoiled as the TAN email sent me the spoiler text for some reason.
I would have been up to date on this one but I stopped when the infernal hiatus happened. Hiatuses make me ragequit TV in general and it takes me a while to get back into it (even if I really like the show). When the show is on the bluray I don’t have to worry about that, but for the show to get on the bluray I have to, apparently, worry about that…it’s like the Bill and Ted conundrum with getting Eddie Van Halen and making a music video.
Ouch, that JAM Project song is extremely weaksauce.
Was it too much to expect that their Breakthrough would sound like their VASTLY superior song Breakout?!
Where were the tongue-in-cheek lyrics, the hilarious Engrish, the guitarmanship and the driving upbeat tempo? AKA the things that make a real JAM Project song…
This is not destined to be in the Pantheon of JAM Project greats. Is it too late for them to just keep the first song? It was alright, better than this I’m sorry to say.
I don’t know why Ichihime agreed to marry Caesar when she didn’t have to. She obviously has feelings for Mitsuhide and he for her. Mitsuhide seems to be taking things out on Nobunaga too. And he can’t even look at Ichihime anymore. Hideyoshi is the one to tell Mitsuhide that he shouldn’t hide from his feelings and to tell Ichihime how he feels about her. He also tells Mitsuhide that Ichihime doesn’t want Caesar, and is only doing her duty. Hideyoshi hints that Ichihime likes Mitsuhide. He’s a very observant little monkey!
Hideyoshi leaves when Ichihime comes out, and she and Mitsuhide share some cryptic words, dancing around the fact that they love one another and neither willing to admit it. But telling her that he will protect her with his life makes Ichihime cry. Perhaps Hideyoshi was right and they were able to tell each other how they felt without words. They quietly stand in the moonlit garden for just a little longer with clasped hands. The next day, Ichihime is to go to Caesar, and there’s nothing more to be said. But some of what Ichihime told Mitsuhide gives me a bad feeling.
