Rail Wars!

Ep 3

Finally, less boobs. Only one focus on them in an unneeded scene. Not too much about trains, just life still but a little about trains thanks to a random inserted victim character from the heroā€™s past. Is it just me or do the trainees/newbs happen to do the real policeā€™s work all the time so far? How inept could those buffoons be? It is a plan of those 2 women to make the kids look better, or just a giant oversight of the writers to spotlight the main characters at the expense of a plausible story?

How did those girls not blow out their eardrums in the beginning of ep 3? Was it just me or was the main character pretty spry for a guy with massive frostbite?

Cops in this do only seem to come in 2 flavors: SWAT guys and trainees.

I am pretty sure her headphones are like an equalizer that allows her to mute certain types of sounds. It does have 3 plugs and a mic would only take one, the headphone another, so it must be plugged to some other sampling device like to drown out the sound of the snow falling. Probably she has it plugged into auto-tune or something like that. :pinch:

Iā€™d call this show a ā€œhealing animeā€.

K-on was a healing anime and this is k-on with guns, trains, curves and other cool stuff.

Isnā€™t this show 33% done now? So far the privatization plot elements havenā€™t kicked in. Iā€™m enjoying the show as is right now so Iā€™m hoping that they donā€™t try and shoe horn in that plot near the end and bring the series down by rushing it. If this were a 2 season show then Iā€™d be more confident in it as they could pull a Solty Rei, where they have the whimsical first half that leads into the serious second.

Yep this is the reason I watch this showā€¦

Itā€™s what K-On should have been.

it is more about headlights than cabooses!

Boob Wars is the name the show needs. trains are just there as a set piece.

I share the sentiments with the rest of you. This is really entertaining and canā€™t wait for more. Baccano, to me, made trains awesome to begin with.

I know it will be starting in here the TAN but I did watch it on CR ., let say one word this is good so far maybe ., just little wild but there are few thing I will let you figure it out without spoil it.

But this is one of few Anime show I do really enjoy it.

( yeah I do work on trains on real life so I am famauir with it. )

On the train side of things, the train in ep 5 stopped rather fast for a train. I donā€™t believe that even light rail cars can stop like that. I realize that the train was rather small but having been on an Amtrak train that obliterated a car that it saw from over a mile away I am still a bit o_0 about this train stopping in a few seconds.

Itā€™s not like Iā€™m watching this for its train physics though and any minor issues are compensated for by the show calling out the main dude for being a wuss.

BTW, when will the other dude in the squad get to do something? He gets so few lines that I donā€™t remember his name.

Celetial_being.,

yes there are few rail cars can stop that fast espcally with light load or small numbers of cars and I did manged to stop 10 loaded boxcars with two engine in less than 100 feet at 30 MPH but have to recharge the air line which take me 4 minuites to get the boxcars tank filled up again before I can move it again.

but if the locomotive and boxcars or commuiter car stop going uphill yeah it will be much quicker. that part is true.

but a loaded typical coal train it will take up 2 miles to stop at 60 MPH

Merci,
Marc

yeah those magnetic trains can stop a lot quicker and the cars are flimsy anyway. jsut look up the actual trains they are talking about

the swat train they had would have been jarring to stop quickly.

Episode 01 (Sub) is now live at ANO

Episode 02 (Sub) is now live at ANO

The replica dining car in episode 6 seemed much larger than any train dining car in which Iā€™ve ever been.

Now that I see that Sakurai is armed with an Airsoft gun I can rest at ease.

Episode 03 (Sub) is now live at ANO

And this continues to be the best show of the season and now a multi-part saga with actual train action is now upon us

Was it just me, or were the Crunchy subs explaining the workings of the ā€œrail cycleā€ a bit wonky?

Though questionable subs on the train stuff is compensated for by humorous subs elsewhere:

Episode 04 (Sub) is now live at ANO

Not that I expected it to get really high marks from ANN, but stillā€¦

Hope really disagrees with you on this one.
