Rail Wars!

ANN strengthens that old adage about the movies that the critics pan being the ones most worth watching.

Rail Wars should wear its ANN panning like a badge of honor as the harder they rag on these fun-to-watch ecchi shows, the better they are; it comes with the territory

Ep. 10

Hasn’t even gotten to the intro yet and Sho has his best line ever in the entire series when he turns on his stun baton at the right moment to imply, “SHOCKING!”, at the previous statement.

Does this series end next week?

Yes.
It’s only 12 episodes.

I won’t miss the excessive T&A, but wish we got more trains in something called RAIL wars, other than a backdrop. It is like if Pokemon only talked about them and never had any Pokemon battles or showed Pokemon only a few times during the series’ run.

I hope it doesn’t have a harem scene ending either, but show Naoto riding off in a train with Sakurai chasing someone on the platform. (Hasn’t that happened every episode where they weren’t in the rail car?)

Ep. 12

Yeah, I definitely won’t miss the amount of blatant fanservice that had absolutely NOTHING to do with this series.
I mean really, they could have made this series so much better if they just cut back on the usage of silly camera angles in every episode.
But all in all it was an OK series, though definitely not one I’ll ever be watching again.

Just finished this show. Ep 12 really flew by. I wish that there were more to this one as it was fun, the more mature K-On. There really ought to be more to this show as

this never really happened in eps 1-12.

I’m going to have to disagree with that. The light-hearted fanservice visuals added to the convivial tone of the show. I could have done without the stuff pertaining to Sakurai pushing the bike-train as that didn’t really jibe with the rest, though.

This show created characters that incorporate both voluptuous and ultra-moe elements in their design. That’s a feat that is rarely accomplished and if they want to flaunt their artistic accomplishment with a bevy of atypical camera angles then far be it from me to protest.

It was a fun show that makes me want to kinda wanting to hop a ride on AMTRAK. I just wish that AMTRAK's trains were ran more like the trains shown in eps 1-11 rather than the train shown in episode 12

Even though the vocalist left something to be desired, I think that this show had my favorite OP of the season.

What’s up with this mysterious “episode 13”?

When it was added to TAN, it was added as a “generic 13 episode” series, so 13 placeholders were made and added to the ANO page.
Several series have been added like that last season, Akame ga Kill & ARGEVOLLEN to name a couple.

Thanks for pointing this out. It has been removed.

Rail Wars! Coming to VOD 11/20/14

Watching some other shows, both American and other anime, I’ve noticed that Rail Wars! was one of the few that didn’t portray the stun gun as being some sort of instant-KO weapon.
