Maiden Japan Takes a Big Bite of Adventure with the Acquisition of ‘The Tibetan Dog’
HOUSTON TX, March 13, 2018 – Maiden Japan is pleased to announce the acquisition of The Tibetan Dog. This story is based on the bestselling Chinese novel of the same name and directed by Masayuki Kojima. His previous work includes the beloved series Monster and Made in Abyss. The Tibetan Dog is a story of hope, friendship and overcoming adversity with perseverance and the help of friends. It reminds us that even in the darkest hours, someone can always lend a hand… or paw.
After the death of his mother, Tenzin decides to leave his town to live with his father in the grasslands of Tibet. In a new place, with new people and while learning to become a sheepherder, Tenzin will find help in the most unexpected way, through a golden Tibetan guard dog which will change his life forever by becoming his greatest friend.
The Tibetan Dog was co-produced by Madhouse, China Film Group Corporation and Ciwen Pictures. The original character design was made by Naoki Urasawa (Monster, Master Keaton) and the sound direction by Youji Shimizu (Lupin III, Final Fantasy VII: Last Order)
The Tibetan Dog will be available for streaming on selected media outlets.
