FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

‘Yumeiro Patissiere’ Sweetens the Month of February for Maiden Japan

Maiden Japan is pleased to announce the additions of Yumeiro Patissiere and Yumeiro Patissiere SP Professional to its catalog. Based on the manga that won a Shogakukan Manga Award in 2010, users will get a taste of how sweet it can be to follow their dreams.

Ichigo Amano dreams of becoming a patissiere (pastry chef) like her grandmother. With the hope of following in her footsteps, she enrolls in the elite patisserie school, St. Marie Academy. Unfortunately for her, she has no cooking skills and is extremely clumsy. To make things worse, she is placed in the topmost class with the most famous student of all, the “Sweets Princess.” She immediately falls to the bottom of the class, but things start to get better when she meets Vanilla, a Sweets Spirit who will try to help her achieve her dream. Ichigo will try to become a patissiere and survive the competitive world of sweets with the help of her new friends and with her positive attitude.

Viewers will be able to continue Ichigo’s journey on Yumeiro Patissiere SP Professional. Two years after the original series, she will have to use everything that she has learned to take the next step towards becoming a world-class patissiere… being in charge of her own shop.

Iku Suzuki (Kodocha, Ranma 1/2: Nihao My Concubine, and FAKE) directed both series, with Takashi Yamada (Heartcatch Precure!, Ojamajo Doremi, and Ginga e Kickoff!!) doing the series composition.
Both Yumeiro Patissiere, and Yumeiro Patissiere SP Professional will be made available on select digital outlets, with a home video release to follow.
