FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Maiden Japan Acquires the Short Story Compilation ‘Human Crossing’

Maiden Japan announced today the acquisition of Human Crossing. Based on the award-winning manga by Masao Yajima (Big Wing) and Kenshi Hirokane (Weekly Shimako, Domain of Murder) and directed by the team of Akira Kumeichi and Kazunari Kumi, Human Crossing is an interwoven collection of short stories that explores the complexities of human interaction through the lives of people from different backgrounds.

There are millions of people living in modern-day Japan. Each one is unique, and they live in situations that range from the joyous to the horrific. But what connects them? There is a web that binds us all, the bonds of family and relationships. Yet, there are times when the isolating nature of urban life tears and tatters that fragile safety net to the breaking point. At times like this, each person can only do the best they can to meet the challenge or fail… to rise or to fall. Eventually, all of us must make that transition from one part of life to another. That is the Human Crossing.

From characters dealing with a difficult childhood to a father’s struggle to connect with his son, the stories of Human Crossing are contemporary and very relatable. Those who like to reflect on the human condition, those who find other people fascinating and believe that “nothing hits harder than life,” will find great satisfaction in Human Crossing. The series will be available for streaming on selected media outlets.
