From that clip, I think everyone’s reaction was the same -

Why would a kid that can’t seem able to control his powers go to a pool, of all places? Not very well thought out, especially when you see the chain reaction. Being responsible for all that mess, no wonder the poor kid is labeled a “Super Crook”! And no wonder he went to the dark side. Hard to recover from something like that.
