I’m kinda torn. I can agree that the remake is missing what made the original so iconic, similar to the Statham reboot of The Mechanic.
But an action movie that the critics hate? That’s been the sure sign of a fun flick for generations.
…though I’m still on the fence as the scenes of Willis’ character torturing people is a little too much for me, I want my Saw & grindhouse horror separate from my gunslinger action flicks. Is that so wrong?
