I still can’t believe anyone saved this one. Thought it was lost to time. It couldn’t have been a big seller for CPM, could it? Anyway I’ll buy it because I never got around to buying CPM’s release. Allan Gus directed the dub, and while I like what he did for Maze, he is also responsible for the Patlabor dub .
I do believe that the dub of the Patlabor TV show, and the ~7 dubbed episodes of the sequel OVAs (Please get this all dubbed Maiden Japan, I implore you) are dubs for the ages. They captured the essence of the characters in a way that the Japanese dub and the dubs for the various movies never quite could.
I don’t think that I’ve seen any other dubs that this man has directed.
