I feel old because I remember when the History Channel was actually about historical stuff. I hadn’t really heard of this, thanks for the information.

That promo video was trying to be edgy, but its style seems way dated to me, like something straight out of the early 2000s. Content-wise, it seems like it doesn’t have broad appeal.
They say they’re not History2 any longer, but one of the highlights was an old conversation with Ted Cruz, a guy who is looking like he’ll be history himself the day after the channel launches.
That looked awkward. Also the content made me think of Current.

Sharknado 4 Gets Release Date, Star Wars-Inspired Title
I saw the premiere of Rush Hour, the TV show. Compressing the entire '90s movie into a 45 minute TV show cut too much out. Without the pending transfer of Hong Kong to drive the plot it felt kinda lost.

UPDATE 1: Viacom Channels remained on DISH overnight. It appears there’s a more productive tone in the negotiations, with a deal likely to be reached as soon as today.
