Winter 2015 Master Licensing List

I’d say Death Parade.
But this brings up an interesting dilemma if it is.

This would be the first NTV / Madhouse series to be licensed in quite some time, and makes it seem more likely that FUNi will/can eventually snag Parasyte. Which saddens me a little, since I wanted Sentai to get it.

And there it is.

And it looks like they added 4 more from yesterdays pic.

Funi’s playing hardball this quarter, whether this comes and backfires on them remains to be seen, but to me it looks like they are trying to muscle out some of the smaller licensors (like NIS, Viz, and Discotek)

I have doubts that every single new title that they have are exclusives, but it looks to me that they are being more aggressive, and that the Limited edition program is paying off for them. (Generating a lot more revenue for the extra licenses)

I guess that all depends whether or not they’ll be doing more than one sub-only release every two years or still sticking to their dub guns.

Where’s my Minami-ke DVD/DB? Right Stuf to the rescue…

I’d like to think they still can. They can snatch La Corda Blue Sky and The World is Still Beautiful at the same time.

Since the DVDs/BDs haven’t been solicited as of yet, I’m not exactly sure how many episodes this will have.
Though the home page currently has 3 more placeholders on the Story Outline page, so there’s at least 3 more episodes past Ep. 13

But with Episode 13 airing today, and it being listed as taking a week off next week, this should probably be listed on the Sentai Continuing from Last Quarter list.

So I guess that means the other 4 licenses that Madman picked up might be FUNi’s as well.

● Aria of Curse For A Holy Swordsman - Seiken Tsukai no World Break
● Cute High Earth Defence Club LOVE!
● ISUCA
● Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-
● Samurai Warriors
● The Testament of Sister New Devil

Of those, World Break is the questionable one, since it’s possibly a TV Tokyo title.
Though it does make me wonder, since I had Samurai Warriors pegged as a TV Tokyo title as well.

You think Funi will grab Fafner: Dead Aggressor? They did pick up S1. Don’t know how well it did for them, but it’s a possibility.

I’d really be surprised if they didn’t grab Testament of Sister New Devil but they’ve surprised me before.

If World Break is indeed a TV Tokyo title, there’s a good chance it’ll show up on CR instead of FUNi’s list.
In that case, I see Fafner squeezing in to fill the void.

The rest on that Madman list are probably the rest of FUNi’s slots.
But I guess surprises happen and I could be completely off base with this and looking too deeply at the coincidental 6/6 AUS license/FUNi box ratio.

CR is up currently, and so is the Winter lineup page.

● World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman

Updated, I’ve heard this series described as a better version of Bladedance of the Elementalers. At least those who’ve read the LN’s say this.
