90's Music

Hey gang, uhh… Hentai here. I’m taking a break from studying for my upcoming organic chemistry exam on “IR, NMR, and substitution & elimination reactions” to talk about 90’s music, which for the purpose of this thread can be anything from I’ll say 1988-2001.

Making a playlist for driving down lonesome roads at night. I need some tunes to bring me home safely.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

[li]Spin Doctors - Two Princes[/li]
[li]The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony[/li]
[li]Barenaked Ladies - One Week[/li]
[li]The Cranberries - Linger[/li]
[li]Smash Mouth - All Star[/li]
[li]Smash Mouth - Walkin’ On The Sun[/li]
[li]Semisonic - Closing Time[/li]
[li]Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life[/li]
[li]New Radicals - You Get What You Give[/li]
[li]Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight[/li]
[li]Eve 6 - Inside Out[/li]
[li]Chumbawamba - Tubthumping[/li]
[li]Blind Melon - No Rain[/li]
[li]Marcy Playground - Sex & Candy[/li]
[li]Smashing Pumpkins - 1979[/li]
[li]Duncan Sheik - Barely Breathing[/li]
[li]Savage Garden - To The Moon And Back[/li]
[li]Savage Garden - I Want You[/li]
[li]Vertical Horizon - You’re A God[/li]
[li]The Remembrandts - I’ll Be There for You[/li]
[li]Meredith Brooks - Bitch[/li]
[li]Sister Hazel - All For You[/li]
[li]Counting Crows - Colorless[/li]
[li]Counting Crows - Mr. Jones[/li]
[li]Natalie Merchant - Kind and Generous[/li]
[li]Sublime - What I Got[/li]
[li]Sublime - Doin’ Time[/li]
[li]The Black Crowes - She Talks to Angels[/li]

Judging by the nature of this list, I’m not really looking for anything besides mainstream music–underground stuff is always welcome, though that’s not exactly what I’m looking for.

Disclaimer: Boy bands (N*Sync) and teen pop (Britney Spears) need not apply, unless incredibly awesome.

“Colorblind” by the Counting Crows. Listen to it when it’s raining. Awesome.

I use to love Meredith Brooks. They played Bitch all that summer on Vh1. Ahhh… memories…

I was only 7 when it was released, but I remember loving it whenever I heard it, mostly for the chorus.

while not in to many bands from the '90s, the Black Crowes have always been great, especially their song “She Talks to Angels”

Added Natalie Merchant, Sublime, and The Black Crowes. Good stuff guys, keep it coming!

I’ll organize the list next weekend.

Two Joints by Sublime? Or is that just me…

The Presidents of the United States were good to, they’re only a recent discovery by me, but my roommate has been listening to them since, well, the 90s. I also really like They Might Be Giants as well, though I think they spawned from the 80s…

A 90’s music list with no Enter Sandman by Metallica or You Could Be Mine/Don’t Cry/Live And Let Die/Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door/November Rain by Guns & Roses? ZZ Top’s Doubleback? The Allman Brothers, No One To Run With or Back Where It All Begins? Bob Seger, The Fire Inside?

No 90’s song list is complete without Poison by Bell Biv Devoe. Get on that as soon as you can.

You definitely need some more Angry Chick Music, if this is an 90’s mix. Perhaps some Paula Cole or Alanis Morisette. I also recommend Stay by Lisa Loeb. It’s not an angry song, but it has some special meaning around here.
