A memoriam to Studio Xebec

As of later today, Studio Xebec will no longer be in operation. Since this is their final day, thought an appreciation thread would be in order.

They’ve done so many good series, and of course, their forte seemed to be ecchi harem comedys.

Thank you for all the hours of enjoyment the series y’all animated.

Everyone feel free to post either your favorite series, or favorite character from a show they worked on.

Mine has to be To Love Ru. I love all the characters, and it will always have a place in my heart as the first “adult situation” anime that I ever watched.

After the TLR girls, fave character would be a tie between Chizuru from Kanokon, or my new Avi: Selnia Iori Flameheart from Ladies Vs Butler’s (I love her hair drills!)

Actually Xebec still Exists, it’s just that Production IG sold the Studio to Sunrise. Sunrise is changing the name of the studio to Sunrise Beyond.

This is a tough one to choose .

I mean Martian Successor Nadesico , Sorcerer Hunters , Dai-Guard , and *Love Hina to name just a few .

Though if I had to choose especially looking at how many times I’ve bought it without a second thought . I’d go with Martian Successor Nadesico as my favorite with Love Hina (which I need to rewatch) a close second .

Xebec Co., Ltd. was absorbed by Production Eigee Co., Ltd. On May 31, 2019.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the creators and staff who have loved and supported the works of Xebec.

So if I’m reading right Production IG kept the anime assets and sold the company then Sunrise renamed it ?

It’ll be interesting to see who gets to do the sequel to Yamato: 2202

I’m under that assumption as well. Plus, once again if I understood the article correctly, I.G. kept the Xebec post-production studios, as well as XebecZwei
