I also dislike the single DVD sized keepcases, aka slim packs. I’ve had more floaters with those of all brands than any other case I’ve ever received. Plus, if I’m going to spend good money on a 5 or 6 disc release, I want it to look like a 5 or 6 disc set…lol. Plus, I have less trouble locating the bigger sets over the slim packs.

Though ultimately I have to agree that singles with an artbox are my favorite as well. They have more artwork and were generally sturdier. I actually miss those quite a bit. True, they weren’t great for space saving but one could always just move to a larger place. :wink:

As for the cost of Sentai’s cases, they really do have to watch every penny. As they’ve stated, and many other industry sources for that matter, a lot of releases are only selling two or three thousand copies. A quarter or fifty cents per release may not seem like much, but the costs really add up, especially if you need to do reprints later. Also, Sentai allegedly has Japanese entertainment companies invested in it. They have to remain profitable or they could loose their backing.

Figured a list of what shows you have from them would make it easier for some people to figure out what they are missing from them thus making it easier on people to decide what they need to still get before shop is closed up. Also if they decide to reprint some of the older out of print series instead of just keeping newer titles in print.

So make a list of what you own from Bandai Entertainment plus Honneamise and Bandai Visual USA as well if you like.

Possibly some others as my three son’s also buy Anime for themselves.

I will be looking to get the various editions of Haruhi Suzumiya and some of their classic titles as finances permit.

Fortunately they will not be disappearing overnight and will keep stocking for as long as their licenses permit.

Good thing about a lot of Bandai titles is a lot more of their stuff at one time or another was on TV . So it may have a better chance of getting rescued at a later date. And dang it forgot I wanted to get K-on to. So that means still need to order K-on 1-4 Blu-ray , both seasons of Code Geass , and Star Driver Blu-ray. Money come home! I need you!

Looking over everybodies lists, as well as looking over their license/distributor lists on ANN, I can honestly say,
save for Nichijou (which reverted back to the licensor) they had absolutely nothing I was interested in.

Regardless of that fact, it’s still sad to see anothor R1 company fall.
