I had a tornado just west of my house by a few miles yesterday. Tornado sirens going off, mom pacing back and forth, and I’m just sitting in the shower enjoying that sweet hot water. lmao
A tornado passed a few miles south of my apartment last night, too. Having grown up in New Jersey, I was anxious, if sitting on the couch watching Travis Meyer on the News on 6. The tornado sirens went off twice. The second time, the area of rotation was east of us and heading northeast. I’m learning when to panic and when not to panic.
Always liked Travis Meyer, no nonsense guy. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, spent the majority of my 68 years there. Have looked up INTO a Tornado and saw the spinning maw. I won’t say I wasn’t scared, but … Now I live in Florida and give the Hurricanes all the respect they deserve. The one thing, you KNOW when a Hurricane is coming. A Tornado can sneak up on you.
