I’m with you on a S1 vs CE, I’d like to get something a little nicer than normal with this series.

They still haven’t announced a license for S2 yet, and oddly, most of the CEs have been TBS titles, so I wonder if a CE would even be possible.

Still betting on either Luci Christian, Shannon Emerick, or Carli Mosier as Chaika (and who’s left should be cast as Red Chaika)
And Brittany Karbowski should be a lock as Frederica.
I wasn’t expecting Bonasso for Akari (too many strict dubs for me, I guess0 but more of her is always a good thing.

Kira Vincent-Davis stars as Chaika Trabant, daughter to the mad king, who just happens to talk in adorably broken speech.
Well, Chaika is kinda Ruri-ish so that works out. So far my only issue is with the translation of the transformation speech; it just doesn’t sound cool, kinda “Gurren Lagann”.

Watched a bit of the dub and it’s a Chris Ayers dub and it’s serviceable. it’s pretty good. not Infinite Stratos rank S or Log Horizon Rank A, I’d rate it a solid B

Since the possibility of a CE has me holding off on this one, I haven’t yet seen it. So are we talkin’ serviceable based on ADV standards? 
For example, Sentai’s Hamatora, also by Chris Ayres, is serviceable by ADV standards but IMO it’s a contender for “Sentai dub of the year” if just compared to Sentai stuff lol.
Well if they eventually do a Collector’s Edition, I’d want them to have Season 1, Avenging Battle and it’s OVA all in a Nifty Coffin Case to hold the set.
