Just had a discussion of this with my CFO / Better Half. Two take aways:

Avoid the Timothy Dalton’s James Bond problem of technically good shows that don’t preserve the “Fun” that is intrinsic to the series.

Must be better than this past season which we have both found hard to follow due to unclear dialog. Brits have accents, so do we - you don’t want to hear me in full-on Okie mode, but normally in Dr. Who they keep them on a short leash. This past season I’ve had to look at the Wife and say “What?” way too many times.
Having a female Doctor is going to be a supreme balancing act, there are really good people involved in the upcoming seasons, but I am concerned that it may prove impossible to stay balanced even for them.
