Genres: comedy, romance, supernatural Themes: bishoujo, ecchi, harem, mythical creatures Objectionable content: Significant Number of episodes: 12 Vintage: 2015-07-07 Plot Summary: What do world governments do when they learn that fantastical beings are not merely fiction, but flesh and blood-not to mention feather, hoof, and fang? Why, they create new regulations, of course, like the Interspecies Cultural Exchange Accord! When twenty-something Kurusu Kimihito becomes an involuntary “volunteer” in the government homestay program for monster girls, his world is turned upside down. A lamia named Miia is sent to live with him, and it’s Kimihito’s job to make sure the sexy snake girl integrates into everyday life. While cold-blooded Miia is hot for Kimihito, the penalties for interspecies breeding are dire. Even worse, when a buxom centaur girl, and a scantily-clad harpy move into Kimihito’s house, what’s a full-blooded young man with raging hormones to do?
Toho animation…does this mean Toho will hold international rights. Will it show up on Crunchy next to Akame ga Kill and Blue Spring Ride? Will it be a Sentai title?
Hard to say specifically.
Most PVs that Toho streams on their YT they hold international rights to, but not all.
For summer, they’re streaming PVs for Everyday Life with Monster Girls, Chaos Dragon and Himōto! Umaru-chan.
After last season with FUNi picking up Blood Blockade Battlefront (which we still don’t know if Toho actually held international rights for) it’s kind of up in the air at the moment.
I suppose this is what one gets for being so kind hearted. LOL Even though there was a mix up, Kimihito could not say no to letting Miia stay with him. I like Ms. Smith as the M.I.B. character and the way she pops up to check on Kimihito in order to remind him of the law. Of course that same law doesn’t seem to apply to the lusty Miia. LOL
Kimihito receives his instructions for the date – um, field trip – and is warned to stay away from love hotels. Why do I get the feeling he will end up there anyway? It seems that Miia is having a great time with her “Darling” and is fascinated by the human world. However, the human element doesn’t seem too happy to see her walking around, especially when she becomes the object of a photo session and is treated as a freak.
In order to get away from the annoying crowd, yup, you guessed it; they slip into a love hotel. I suppose Ms. Smith will be guessing the worst. LOL To top it off, poor Miia doesn’t even know what a love hotel is. But she is concerned that not all humans like her or accept her for what she is. Miia feels that the law is the only thing that makes people nice to her because they don’t want to be arrested and is now accusing Kimihito of the same thing. Miia undresses to prove to Kimihito that she isn’t all that scary or dangerous. In fact, she’s quite defenseless. But before Kimihito can say anything, the “Interspecies Exchange Security Squad” breaks into the room!
The goons are led by none other than Ms. Smith! Well, at least this will save Kimihito if Ms. Smith gives him a chance to explain. On the way out, they bump into the same annoying couple that made fun of Miia on the street. They provoke her again and make her angry enough to attack them again. Thankfully Kimihito prevented a bad situation the last time. Once again, Kimihito steps in and prevents any breaking of the law by punching the man in the face himself. At least this will save Miia from being deported.
He later explains his actions to Miia and that just makes her fall in love with her “Darling” even more. She attacks him again, but thankfully, Ms. Smith walks back in, looking for dinner. That was close! However, every hug Miia gives Kimihito almost kills him. I wonder if he will even survive this show? LOL
