Finished up ep. 02
Man, I have to say, with as awesome as this episode was, it almost makes me want to see Fate/stay night.
Though, if I do, it definitely won’t have the same effect on me as this one does with the Kajiura soundtrack.

That Saber/Lancer fight was epic!
Too bad Rider had to be a buzzkill about it though.

It’s just getting more awesome as it goes along!
[details=SPOILER]So everyone but Caster shows up for the party.
And each one shows off why it’s still anyones game as far as winning the War.
Also, with that little bit at the end with Caster, we now know who he is.[/details]
Finished up ep. 06
And the plot thickens!
[details=spoiler]And that confirms it!
Caster is indeed Gilles and thinks Saber is Jeanne.
And no amount of Saber saying otherwise convinces him she’s not, including backed it up with an indirect attack.
Kayneth being too smug for his own good, has way to much faith in his little traps.
Which is why Kiritsugu blowing up the entire building to get to him was so amsuing.
Gilgamesh going to Kirei to talk and get information on the other Masters/Servants behind Tokiomi’s back was interesting.[/details]
I like the epic historic figures in this show. And I am throughly enjoying all the plots and counter-plots!

Character relationship, glossary charts help fans enjoy fantasy anime now airing, streaming
The official website of the Fate/Zero fantasy television anime released three downloadable “Yoku Wakaru Seihai Sensou (Chukyu Hen)” (Holy Grail War Made Simple (Intermediate Level)) charts on Thursday. The series’ producers hope fans will use the documents to help them enjoy Fate/Zero.
One chart describes traits of key characters in the series as well as their personal relationships with each other. Another document provides a glossary with terms important in understanding the Fate/Zero anime. A third “beginning level” chart describes the basic master/servant relationships seen throughout the series. All three charts are a available for download in the JPEG and PDF file formats.
The anime adapts the prequel novel by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Phantom - The Animation, Blassreiter) to Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the software.
On October 1, the Fate/Zero anime began airing in Japan and Aniplex of America also began streaming the series, subtitled in eight languages, worldwide via the Niconico Live and Niconico Channel services.

[details=spoiler]Man, Iskander is so fun to watch!
They gave him a pretty fun personality which makes the exchange between him and Waver the the more interesting.[/details]
It’s a very exciting series, but I agree that it has some really funny moments -
Like the t-shirt with the world map on it that Iskander ordered. Then he was all ready to go outside without pants! He definitely brings in some comic relief.

Wow!
That little cliffhanger at the end of ep. 07 turned out to be rather awesome!
Three situations occure simultaneously.
[details=spoiler]So, Saber & Lancer were duking it out with Caster, until they realized that the way to stop him was to destroy the grimoire so he can’t use it.
They come up with a do-or-die plan and Lancer manages to damage it.
Caster escapes to the dismay of all of us that despise him.
Meanwhile…
Kiritsugu & Kayneth are duking it out in the mansion.
Kayneth winds up suffering a mortal wound that, if it doesn’t end his life outright, it’ll surely end his abilities as a mage.
Lancer feels the eminent danger of his master, and both him and Saber agree that he should go save his master over their hororable dual, and agree to postpone it for later.
Also taking place at the same time…
Irisviel & Maiya both come to an agreement, to ignore Kiritsugu’s orders in order to save Kiritsugu from the now approching Kirei.
Irisviel also shows off that driving isn’t the only thing Kiritsugu taught her.
And we also find out what happened to Avalon… it’s within Irisviel, basically making her immortal with the Noble Phantasm as a Conceptual Weapon[/details]

And this series continues to get more awesome as it progresses!

One thing I do hope though, is that AoA doesn’t plan a simultaneous release with JP for the boxsets.
I would rather them license it outright and release it for the R1 market like PMMM, rather than both, like their LE KnK release.
I’d love to own this series, but I honestly can’t justify buying the first half for $350-$400, then turn around and have to get the second half for $350-$400 as well.

I hope this doesn’t mean a simultaneous release like I was saying.

Meh.
It’s a sad day indeed.
There’s no way I can get it at that price, especially considering it’s going to be a two cour series, which means it’ll be $369.98 x 2.
I guess at this point, we can only hope they license it outright and release it cheaper at some later point.
$369.98 for 13 episodes? Are they insane? Unless they are including a gold brick with each one it’s about 10 times more then it should be. Honestly, it should be like $50-80 at most. $20 worth of extras (if that) and a little new footage sure doesn’t justify half that price. Guess I’ll have to be content with watching it.
This just proves more then ever that Aniplex of America has no idea how to sell things in the United States. There aren’t nearly as many crazy fans willing to pay through the nose for anime, like in Japan. The only two companies doing a good job right now are Sentai and Funimation, I think. If anyone else tried this they wouldn’t stay in business very long.
If this had a dub I would be willing to do $224.94 for 13 episodes on Blu-ray since I’m pretty much doing that next year with Madoka ,but anything over that when I’ve paid less then that for shows with over 50 episodes is where my head goes “OH **** NO”.
The real people to blame are the ones that bought that Garden of Sinners Blu-ray “import”.
I am thinking the Japanese wanted way to much for the licensing cost which is also why this is happening.
With that said I’m curious to see how this will sell here.
The other thing is this would mean if I bought it is less stuff getting bought from the American companies. Hmmmmm maybe that is their plan get people to blow their money on these thus meaning they have less to no money to spend on American releases thus shutting down all of the American companies thus meaning they no longer have to worry about cheaper American releases.

Sounds like you just hit the nail on the head!
Episode 9 –
[details=spoiler]I like how the episode started out with the story of Diarmuid and Grainne. It’s one of my favorite Irish stories. But I wonder why Lancer’s master dreamed it. And now it seems that Kayneth has another reason to want the Grail, having lost his magic. With Sola taking his place, the legend of the past may play out again too, but I don’t trust Sola. I think she wants both the Grail and Lancer for herself. And it seems as if Lancer sees that as well.
Wow! I can’t believe that Rider actually complimented his master! And it was nice of Rider to try to protect his master from seeing the evil done in Caster’s lair as well. At least someone now knows that there is more than one Assassin. But I would very much enjoy seeing Rider go up against Caster![/details]
Even Bandai Visual didn’t try this sh*t.
