Episode 11 –
Did they really think they could outsmart Golgo? Really! For someone that claimed to know him so well, Katz should have realized that Golgo would be two steps ahead of him. Amateur!

Episode 11
Fun episode, though the Mythbusters would have had a field day. I kept remembering their tests about the exploding gas tanks from a bullet shot. That myth was busted.
Is it just me or does Golgo really need to take down his Facebook page? Seems everyone knows what he looks like and when he is in town.
For an assassin, he is a little too easily recognizable. But I guess that just makes things more interesting too.
Episode 13 –
Another fool that thinks he knows Golgo. He’s lucky he only got his camera shot. But maybe not; perhaps Golgo might be out to get him yet.
Want to make money in this world, invest in bullet proof glass companies. It seems everyone has it for what little good it does.
Ok so I’ve seen up to episode 12 so far. And this is some good stuff. A few episodes were rather ehh, but most of them i love! My favorite episode so far wold have to be episode 6, where Duke is hired to kill the guy at the Presidential National Convention.
I like how the lawyer got him out of it. Everything was so perfect, with the gun, to him tiring it to a balloon, the the FBI braking into his car…Amazing.
I also really liked episodes 11 and 12.
11
It was really cool how he had to go up against that other sniper, and shot the helicopter OUT OF THE FIRGEN SKY.
12
I really liked how the old school cop made the csi guys eat their words or whatever. He showed them. Too bad they couldn’t get Golgo anyway =P .
I’d like to see Mythbusters work on that richochet off the wave in the pool too.
Episode 20 the best episode EVER!!! MailBOX BABY WOHOO!
Ep. 21
Loved how he used greed to get the two groups to take each other out.
Episode 22:
This episode made me LOL a bunch of times.
*
Right at the start, the girl with the big boobs walks out, puts her hands behind her head and arches her back and stretches, as she says what a nice day it is and you can “see clear to the mountains” … I’ll say. (Insert Groucho Marx raised eyebrow here)
*
Then the sheriff shows up and talks about “they shot a man in Reno just to watch him die”… then I realize he looks like Burt Reynolds circa 1982… then they call him Burt…
*
The girl keeps calling her brother, “brother” instead of by name, made me flash back to the Fullmetal Alchemist I’d just watched earlier… oops -
*
And later on the brother talks about watching “Law & Order SUV”
*
At the end, it turns into almost a cliche old west style gunfight at the OK Corral, that made me chuckle a little too.
*
I’m not saying it’s bad or anything, just funny, if I had the DVD I’d watch it again in Japanese with the subtitles, just to see how much of that was in it versus how much of it having fun with a little westernization.
*
At least Golgo’s Mustang looked like a Mustang - but most of the cars in this series have looked good, even the old cop in the one episode with a '55 Chevy.

I’m thinking this means another nail in to Urban Visions coffin has been hammered in. If we see someone pick up Vampire Hunter D it will be the final nail. I wonder what kind of materials TMS will be giving Discotek. If I remember right what they’ve given in the past for this title have been iffy.
I love this series. Each episode gets better and better.
Any chance this network will pick up season 3 and 4?
Yea I’d like to know something…

Anybody here fans of the Golgo 13 movies or even the new series that came out in Japan?
Never seen it, but I did play the old game!
Didn’t you get the UV release recently? Did you see it yet, if so, thoughts?
Got the Queen Bee movie. It was awesome to the max. Although I will say it is the direct opposite of most stuff that gets licensed these days. I woudln’t mind ADV getting the license for the new TV series or the older movies.
yeah. Both the live action and animated variety. The new series was tight, but there are issues with watching it that can’t be discussed here.
Would anybody like for ADV to get this series, even without a dub?
Does that silence say anything?
On the pro side, I do think it’d be a potential way to diversify their offerings in terms of genre. I am a strong believer that Sentai and/or ADV need to get more mecha and guy action series like ADV did in the past.
I think the problem with Golgo13 is going to be marketing and selling a semi-long series of this nature, especially since hype and interest in this series from the general anime communities seems tepid. In that sense I have mixed feelings. Even if this were a semi cheap sub-only series, how many people would really spend $60-100+ to get all 50 episodes (a lot of people would wait for the complete or 25 ep Pt 1 and 2 collections)? If this were a shorter series, and there was a lot of cash on hand to risk dubbing it, I think that would make it more marketable to the “guy or mans-man” demo who do need dubs for the sale, but still a risk and certainly a dub would make that risk magnitudes higher. If it were to be sub-only, obviously that puts certain restrictions and limitations inherent with that, and with a user base that is not exactly vocal, unified or “present” … it goes back to the mixed feelings issue I have. But as with anything these days it depends on value, if ADV/AN can get it for low or free, it would be a nice addition to the catalog especially with Anime Network in mind.
