Saw an AMV of this that made it almost look good, it looked rather gritty and realistic.

Then it cut to a red-headed white african girl (…) fighting tigers in a scene reminiscent of Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones…only cheesier as she fought them bare-handed, doing physics-defying moves that would make the Straw Pirates go o.0.

Of course, it ended with the pederasty-pandering from the first episode, in case I forgot what this show was really about (which I almost had).

Texas anime veterans = good

“New blood” CA actors = bad. Not “RMBY bad” but bad.

Unless this show is supposed to sound hokey, and the woman who controls Vic is supposed to sound as though she’s talking to the viewer instead of to Vic. I’m thinking that she is not-Vic certainly thinks she’s talking to him-and that is the mark of a bad dub right there, when characters who are supposed to sound as though they’re conversion sound as though they’re not conversing with each other.

This is actually a step backward for Bang/Zoom & Tony Oliver. I would have guessed that this had been done by Studiopolis (aka the worst dub studio still around)!

Magi: Sinbad no Bōken Spin-Off Manga’s 3rd Volume Bundles Anime

Voice actor Daisuke Ono returns to play young Sinbad

Shogakukan announced on Sunday that an anime adaptation of the Magi spin-off manga Magi: Sinbad no Bōken (Magi: The Adventures of Sinbad) has been green-lit. The adaptation of Shinobu Ohtaka and Yoshifumi Ōtera’s manga will be bundled with the special edition of the third compiled volume, which is scheduled to ship in Japan on May 16. In addition, special information regarding the anime will be published in the second compiled volume, which is scheduled to ship in Japan on Friday.

Daisuke Ono will return to play the young Sinbad, and an “extravagant staff” is handling the project.

A 70-page “prototype” of the manga with art by Ōtera was already bundled with the first Blu-ray Disc of the anime in 2012. The manga’s prologue also ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday later that year. After beginning a full serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, it moved to the publisher’s web comic site “Ura Sunday” last year.

Ep. 14

Man that was a sad realization.

This series as whole has been mostly fun with the occasional overexaggerated drama that doesn’t really do much to you.

This episode though, hit me rather hard.

Eps. 16 & 17 S2

That was actually rather awesome how that played out!

Though it all boils down to war now.
