I’m glad to hear that this is shipping out now as I could really use a copy. Maybe my preorder will ship as well…but I probably won’t be so lucky. If I miss the opportunity next month to have Chris Ayres sign his magnum opus then I guess :dry: that it won’t be the end of the world…

Given the premise it’s probably intentional.
I’m still trying to think that I misheard it, as the Aya character doesn’t know that “Maria” (or “Mariya” as the subs call her) is actually the male twin brother in drag in that scene.
Still though, this is so far the “dub to beat”, the gold standard, for Sentai in 2014. I’m almost afraid to try the sequel series out as this one set the bar so high.
It’s kinda more of the same. Dunno about the dub.
Good to hear as the show has been pretty good so far. The dub has been bringing out the greatness.
Having seen a few eps subbed, the difference between the subs and the dub is rather striking. ANN will probably have a field day with that, but what do they know. 
If you do watch the second one, just a word of warning
They kinda rewind time, and sort of cherry picked what happened in the first one still happens in the second one. I just remember the rainy season was something they redid.
Well that sounds a tad disappointing but since I’ve already placed my preorder for the second series there’s no turning back for me now 
Sentai has had some bumps in the road with dubs between part 1 and part 2 of a series. I’m hoping that this one will be the dub where they see those metaphorical bumps and go around them.
…the blu-ray features an extra feature where the Japanese rented out a church for a promo event of this show, had cosplayers and even had a live performance of the show’s intro theme. Hilarious, but kind of depressing as it reminded me of all the cool stuff that Bandai used to do in the US before they were 86’d.
I’ve been spoiled by animated BD menus lol.
