So finally got around to watching all of this yesterday and today.
Really enjoyed this a lot wish they would have dubbed this instead of Clannad ,but these types of shows never seem to sell well here. Pani Poni Dash proved that. Probably the greatest dub and title to come of the Sojiz mess and it did not seem like it sold well at all.
Never say never! Anything can happen. Hell, I never expected Blue Drop to be getting a dub, but there you have it. Maybe down the line Maria Holic will be part of the next batch of five that’ll get a dubbed re-release because of good sub sales and/or will be licensed/sub-licensed by some of Sentai’s partners in crime.
I just finished this series myself. This was one of the funniest anime I’ve seen in a long time. I wish they made a second season, but that doesn’t look like it will happen. This would be a great series to dub, but it may not sell like you said.
As for Pani Poni Dash, I’ve seen about half the series. It was indeed a great anime, but when ADV lost it, I never finished it. I may have to do that now.

As I said earlier, I did have problems with watching this one. However, I did enjoy the story very much and I agree that it could have gone on longer. Maybe someday! I think it would be great with a dub as well.
Yes, I agree with you, Wicca… I went back to see what your problems were and I had the same. Add on falling asleep during late-night viewings of the episodes and I’m amazed I got through it. I did enjoy what I saw, however. My only annoyance was bringing in a somewhat major character ( the priest) so late in the series. Why couldn’t they have introduced him earlier?
One more thing-if you haven’t seen the PV for the OP song “Hanaji” (sung by Mariya Shido’s seiyu Yu Kobayashi) you must! It is wonderful!

Pretty sure I remember hearing it did well in online sales. I know I hope they do as I enjoyed the first series.

Mariya - I think they should get two different VAs, male and female for this role. They can also use them again for Mariya’s twin brother Shizu.
I could see that. I dislike it when one role has to play 2 disparate characters and the voice actor can’t make them sound different enough to do what is required to not break immersion.
I realize that this is hypothetical but if Hilary Haag is involved in any sort of “2 characters in one role” deal then the role needs another actor in addition as she always sounds like herself, she ain’t foolin’ anyone.
This helps keep hope alive that the other sub-only shows will get a dub someday. David Williams says he doesn’t like doing this but it sure seems to happen a lot 
This would be the prefect time to bring back Kira Vincent-Davis to Seraphim.
I wonder why they picked the actress credits that they did. I can sort of understand Calvello’s credit: GuP is (or at least, was expected to be) huge in the US, she hasn’t done all that much else in years and mentioning her iconic role might not be very effective. But, that said, why Kokor Connect for Monica Rial? With her prolific status they could have picked, almost literally, any anime that they’ve ever dubbed and yet they chose that one.

Also, why are both sets coming out at different points in the same month? Couldn’t we just have jumped straight to “Maria Holic: Complete Collection BD” and skipped the Funi-style 2 halves stuff?
