It sounds like from what am getting . NGE getting relicensed has been about offering the right amount of money and probably a new dub . An amount of money and time no one felt worth it except Netflix . Sounds like Gen was waiting hoping no one would and Funimation could get a deal on it .
To be honest I agree with the stuff he said ,but suspect he’s saying them for personal reasons not the reasons it needs to be said .
I’m not a Netflix subscriber and won’t be getting one just to watch NGE . I mean I’m curious ,but I’d rather have a home video release and a Adult Swim airing .

Did all Netflix get was Streaming rights? Or did they get the home video rights as well to try and defray the costs of licensing it in the first place. Right now The only licensor who could touch it would be Discotek, as Both Funi & Sentai would want to stream it too, I don’t know how well the disc only licenses have worked out for Funi & Sentai, but would Eva be worth it to them?

That is what we don’t know . For the kind of money it sounds like they are putting into it you’d hope they’d have gotten streaming and home . They could hit up Shout Factory as a distributor . Not my go to ,but they do have a better in with all the stores then some of the mainly Anime companies .

Any info of which version of episodes 21-24 will be available?
Still on the hope list that when Eva gets another physical release in the states that Sentai will be the company that distributes it.
After all, since they have “close ties” to ADV, they could probably release the discs with the original dub in addition to the Netflix dub.

That’s definitely upsetting. Brina as Rei was a little hard to adjust to, but Tiffany IS Asuka…
Also, according to those tweets, A.I.C.O. apparently had a Re-Dub done.
Might need to give that another watch

Just took a quick look at the new dub. It’s really good. Although, I kinda liked Christina Jopling as Aico though…
Disappointing… The dub was a product of its time and kind of feel it might not be as great as I think it is ,but I still feel the cast should have been allowed to actually audition and considered . Hopefully they at least include the original dub when they do hopefully give us a Blu-ray .
My guess is it might be three plus years before we see a home video release unless they do a store exclusive like did with Target with Stranger Things . Netflix is a streaming business now and why Netflix getting anything sucks so bad .

I will give the new dub a watch, but it will be nearly impossible to change my opinion that Tiffany is and will always be Asuka!!!
