Pokémon / Pokemon (all anime)

I went to see this movie at a local theater this morning. There were about 30 people in the audience.

I enjoyed it immensely. It’s one of the best of the 14 Pokemon movies so far and I’ve seen all of them. (I saw the first five in theaters and this one is the first I’ve seen in a theater since Movie 5: “Pokemon Heroes.”) It’s got spectacular visuals and is beautifully animated throughout. I liked the storyline. There was excitement, suspense and plenty of action. To sum it up, it was about a natural force that goes out of control (due to the good intentions of one of the characters) and the efforts of the main characters and their Pokemon to control that force. Ash is in real trouble in one scene and it got very emotional. Oh, and Victini is quite an engaging little Pokemon.

The sparse crowd applauded at the end.

There wasn’t a single poster for the movie on view in the theater. And I didn’t see a single ad in any of the newspapers. Were there any commercials on Cartoon Network? I didn’t see any. How did they expect people to hear about this? I only heard about this from the anime section on another forum.

Anyone else here see it? What were the crowds like at your theaters?
