Awe, thanks everyone. I really enjoyed Speed Grapher: there were just so many levels to it - that it was just amazing.
I truly had a lot of fun wearing this cosplay. I received so many mixed reactions, all the way from āskimpyā to āOMG!!!ā to āputting my bag on my butt so the pervert following behind me didnāt grab itā. The reactions didnāt bother me at all, I was just having fun and I do plan to wear it again to future cons.

Hmmmā¦ makes me wonder if I should give Speed Grapher another try. I watched the first volume of it, and just couldnāt get into it. But it wouldnāt be the first time that happened with a show.
Also Gentay, your costume was nice. And it doesnāt seem that you have spend lots of money on all that pesky fabric!

Cody: Speedgrapher is a great action/supernatural show. Itās chuck full of win, and getās better after the first few episodes trust me. But itās a very ACTION-Y (BOOM, explosions, LOUD NOISES, BIG FIGHTS) kinda show. If your not into shows like Black Lagoon and Mezzo DSA you might not like this. But for fans of edgy-action, the show is gold. Oh and unlike many action/gun-fight shows it is not afraid to spend time developing or fleshing out itās characters. Many episodes will be practiclly slice-of-life-ish, dealign with Kagura and Saiga on the run. But those tend to be the best episodes as you learn a lot about these people, and itās great to watch them all interact. And it really develops itās characters too. I mean both Kagura and Saiga are not the same people they were when everything started. They are very different towards the end. Hell even the doctor, Genba Ryougoku , and Ginza the police girl change throughout the show. The main villian, Suitengu is one hell of a villain. You just gata see what he does. My only problem with it is it feels a little āfreak of the weekā to it, like too many villians , too often. But thatās a very small problem. They manage to keep them all fresh, but anymore villains and it might have been a little ehh. They stopped at the right time. There is an overarching plot and itās very epic. Also it has one of my favorite anime endings of all time, and easily Gonzoās best. The artwork and animation is much better then people say. Itās very nice, but wonāt win any rewards (ok the last episode is terrible though). Music is great stuff though.
You should give it another try. Although some people feel itās a little too over the top for themā¦
