That only works well with soft serve though.
Frozen ice cream would break the cone chip when trying to scoop it…

If the chip was a little thicker and the ice cream a little softer, like if you sit it out out for a bit, it could work. Would work with gelato too, I think.

One of the local ice cream shops did this, and it was really good. (Soft serve “Taco Sundae”) with different types of flavorings on top with ice cream cone based “chips” to scoop it with
