Everything is made cheap so you have to go buy a new one every couple years. It’s how they make money now since not enough new people are buying.

A sandbox action/adventure developed by Rockstar Games, taking place in the Wild West, a largely ignored theme in gaming. On top of that, it’s getting pretty good reviews so far. 9.75/10 from Game Informer and 10/10 from Official Playstation Magazine, Official Xbox Magazine and PSM.
That sounds good, I’ve always wondered why we’ve never had a solid western themed video game. Pretty much every genre has their “game”.
So Wednesday more games were released on Steam for Mac. Still disappointed to see that they still have not released Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead yet. I see what you’re doing Valve, trying to bleed us dry of your less popular games before you release your big titles that we absolutely must have.
And it’s working. I bought Killing Floor today. Lots of fun. :S

Got it for the PS3, kind of wishing I’d gotten the 360 version, but the PS3 is still solid.
Also trying to balance this, SMG2, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Mass Effect (which a friend let me borrow).
Not to mention the many other games in my back log.

anyone been playing Starcraft II Beta?
I have been playing it and its kind of fun (even though I seem to suck so bad at it) I remember liking Starcraft a lot as it worked smoothly on even the slowest comp.
Dosent look like II would. One thing I really liked was how it automatically uploaded all the patches (lol, LOTS!) I remember when getting Supreme Commander it was such a pain hunting them all down than getting them loaded in the right order etc.
My friend has it on his computer, but I never got to try it out, we were too concentrated on getting our computers to work for some good ol’ SC LAN action. Which, if I remember right, SCII is going to be missing.
From what my friend said the second one isn’t as good as the first, gameplay wise at least. Though he didn’t really go into much detail, I’d have to check it out first for any real opinion.
They’re a bigger company now, which means they have the money to make the game so powerful that no one can play it.
While shopping for a computer, I also ended up getting Super Mario Galaxy 2. I loved the first one, and hope this one is as least as good as the original.

Steam released Half Life 2 for Mac today. I bought it and HL2: episode 1 & 2. Lots of fun so far. And since that was released today, I bet they release TF2 next week.
Im not a “gaming” guy I spend 95% of my time building, but TF2 was a blast
MG2 is one of those games that everytime someone mentions it to me, I feel like I’m hearing of it for the first time. For some reason it just feels too soon, but then again I’m used to one major Mario game per generation of a Nintendo console. They have actually made a sequel for a Mario game since the SNES years!
Oh man, I love the Half Life games, I’ve played HL2 through episode 2 so many times through I could tell you where most of the enemies spawn and which weapons work best where. I still miss the bug pod from the HL2 though, that had to be my favorite weapon, and it only worked for a certain part of the game.
I never got much into TF2, don’t know why really as it always looked fun. I got into L4D and L4D2 a lot though.
Well, I just finished Red Dead Redemption. I’ve probably put in a good 30 hours or so and I still have plenty of things I still need to do. Not to mention a second playthrough.
I truly believe this is Rockstar Games’ finest work yet. Their magnum opus. I’d go as far as to say that RDR is better even than any GTA to date. The story is gripping, the characters memorable, the gameplay is fantastic and the setting is wonderfully gorgeous.

I’ll admit that I shed manly tears at the end. I figured out pretty quick that John wasn’t going to make it out of that predicament, not this time. I also teared up a bit when Jack avenged his father by killing Edgar Ross. I wasn’t sure how I would feel playing as Jack, but I admit he’s pretty awesome as well.
Now then, back to playing!

Awesome news, Zaku. I’d love to play TF2 on my MacBook, but I doubt it’d work since I have a late 2007 model, which came with an awful video card. I can run Portal, but it’s fairly jumpy.
I was a little bummed when I found this out, but at least I have all the consoles I want. I just wish I could play S.T.A.L.K.E.R–that looks really fun. :\
Counter-Strike: Source was released for Mac. It’s an alright game, but I probably wouldn’t have bought it if they hadn’t discounted it to $7. First time playing…yeah I died a lot, but I don’t feel like I was completely dominated like I was told I would be. For $7, can you really go wrong?
Anyone ever thought of setting up a TAN Steam group?
Just to inform all of you Mario fans, Super Mario Galaxy 2 may just be the greatest Mario game ever made. I thought the first one was great, but this one surpasses it in every way possible. If your looking for a fun game to play, get this game. The 3-d gravity platform is seriously innovative, yet simple in appearance. I would be finished with this game if not for my daughter basically stealing it for the last month. Off to level 2.
