I hope youâre hungry for more zombies.
Legendary Pictures is teaming up with Crackle to produce a feature-length film based on the Dead Rising games. The movie will debut first on Crackle, and then be chopped up into a web series for its release on SVOD, DVD, VOD, and TV. Like the games, the new Dead Rising adaptation will tell the story of a large-scale zombie outbreak, and focus on a group of four survivors. Itâs unclear if the four lead characters will be based on any of the heroes from the games.
The new Dead Rising feature is being written by Tim Carter, who also worked on the Mortal Kombat: Legacy digital series and wrote the video game Sleeping Dogs. He actually announced the project on EP Live, and you can watch that entire interview by clicking here.
In related news, Capcom has announced that the PC version of the latest game, Dead Rising 3, will launch September 5. Donât forget that the hilarious expansion Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha was released last week on the Xbox One.
It appears that Nintendo 64 games could be making their way onto the Wii U Virtual Console soon, according to an update to Nintendoâs official website.
A new message on the official Virtual Console website reads: âCheck back regularly for the latest releases, including the future addition of titles from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 systems.â
The Virtual Console has previously only included NES and SNES titles, but back in April Nintendo made the first Game Boy Advance titles available, and recently released the first Nintendo DS title, Brain Age.
Thereâs currently no word on GameCube titles.
The former Xbox One exclusive Dead Rising 3 is coming to PC on September 5 for $49.99, Capcom has announced.
The game will be available via Steam, and is currently available to pre-purchase for $37.49 for the next 30 hours as part of Steamâs Summer Sale, so be quick if you want to pick up a deal. It has been optimized for PC with improved textures, and includes Steam achievements and Trading Cards, and controller support.
News of a PC version first surfaced when an entry was discovered for the game in the Steam Database. This entry was quickly altered to show mention of the game, but later that same day Capcom officially announced that its zombie-killing simulator would be coming to PC.

http://epn.tv/all/type-of/news/no-plans-to-bring-halo-the-master-chief-collection-to-xbox-360-or-pc/No Master Chief Collection for PC
343 Industries has confirmed that there are no plans to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC or Xbox 360.
The collection was officially announced during Microsoftâs E3 press conference for Xbox One, and will contain enhanced versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 will be anniversary editions with completely revamped HD graphics.
âWe do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply canât support it,â the developer wrote on Halo Waypoint. âWe are dedicated to bringing a full and fun experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, providing you with dedicated servers, a unified interface, increased visual fidelity, and gameplay running at 60 fps.â
343 Industries Bonnie Ross also confirmed to Eurogamer that PC gamers will also be left out in the cold. âRight now we are focused on Xbox One,â she said. âWeâve been on PC before, and Dan [Ayoub, 343 executive producer] has had games like Halo: Spartan Assault on there.
âWeâre listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One.â
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to launch exclusively for Xbox One on November 11.

http://epn.tv/all/type-of/news/female-characters-in-sunset-overdrive/Sunset Overdrive Has Playable Females
Hereâs something that should be commonplace but isnât.
Insomniac Games has confirmed that Sunset Overdrive will include playable female characters. Go figure. Theyâre also giving you the ability to customize your skin colour and body type in the game, which means you can be whoever you want to be. All the clothing in the game will even work with both genders, so you can be a guy in a dress, if thatâs what you want. Insomniac explains the features in the video above, along with the very cool traps that youâll be able to use to your advantage in the game.
This comes just a few weeks after Ubisoft made some controversial statements about putting females into their future games, in particular, the Assassinâs Creed series. Insomniac seems to be calling them out directly with their female characterâs choice of hoodie in the video.
We also feel compelled to point out that you can clearly see EPNâs own Best of E3 award at the start of the video, which we presented to Insomniac at E3 last week.
Sunset Overdrive will launch exclusively on the Xbox One on October 28.
