[quote]After months of rumours, Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed Rogue, the new game for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Details on the game first surfaced earlier this year when it had the working title Assassin’s Creed Comet, and now Ubisoft confirms that it will thrust players into the role of a former Assassin who has gone rogue and now works for the villainous Templars. It takes place during the Seven Years’ War, a few decades before the French Revolution that serves as the backdrop for the next-gen Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Fans of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be happy to learn the gameplay will have a strong emphasis on naval combat, which will be mostly absent from Unity. Assassin’s Creed Rogue will launch November 11, just a few weeks after Assassin’s Creed Unity arrives on October 28.

[quote]You will not be able to sail the icy waters of the Arctic with your friends.
In the latest issue of Game Informer, Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be single-player only. This makes it the first console game in the series since 2009′s Assassin’s Creed II to not have a multiplayer mode. The good news is that this year’s other big game, the next-gen Assassin’s Creed Unity, will have multiplayer as well as a new co-op mode.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is being made for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and offers a new story where players take the role of an Assassin who goes rogue and joins the villainous Templars. It will bring back the naval combat from Assassin’s Creed IV, which will be largely absent from Unity, and it will also allow players to explore the frozen Arctic for the first time in the series.

[quote]Yet another big game has been delayed until 2015.
The monstrous online shooter Evolve has been pushed back to February 10, 2015 from its original release date of October 21, 2014. Publisher Take-Two says the game needs a little bit more polish before it’s ready to be unleashed on the masses.
In Evolve, four players take the role of humans, with a fifth player controlling a monster out to get them. The gameplay is very well balanced between the two sides, and it’s so good that it recently took home one of our Best of E3 Awards.

It’s based on the 2002 GameCube version of the 1996 PlayStation original, and will offer new and improved HD graphics and textures. Players will have the option of playing in 16:9 widescreen or in the original 4:3 fullscreen, and there will be two control schemes: a classic layout and another that’s more modern. It’s being built for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, where it will run at full 1080p. There’s also a version coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 that will not look as good.

The story focuses on a group of kids who struggle to stop robots from replacing all the adults in their city. Players will be able to collect new weapon modules throughout the game and then combine them to create unique weapons that will suit whatever play style they want.
There’s no word yet if Inner City Kids will also find its way to the PS4.

[quote]Dontnod Entertainment, the studio behind last year’s sci-fi game Remember Me, is teaming up with Square Enix for a new project called Life Is Strange.
It’s an episodic game where players take control of a young woman with the ability to rewind time. She uses this power to try and track down a missing friend in her hometown, but whenever she uses it, it will have time-bending repercussions that affect the entire story. Like most episodic games, the what you do in one episode will carry over the change what happens in the next, with each chapter building on the choices you’ve made.
Max Caulfield has been absent from Arcadia Bay, Oregon for five years now. Upon returning home she discovers that Rachel Amber, a fellow senior at school, has disappeared under mysterious and rather uncomfortable circumstances. While trying to uncover the truth Max reunites with an old friend, Chloe, and makes a startling discovery: Max has the power to rewind time.
No release window for Life Is Strange has been named, but it shouldn’t take too long to come out because it will be playable at Gamescom in Germany this week. It’s being built for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Toy Soldiers: War Chest is being built for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, making it the first in the series for the next-gen consoles. It will deploy next year.
