So is the Wii U error caused directly by SSB, or is SSB causing more people to actually use their Wii Us, causing a system-wide problem masked by disuse to become more obvious?
With all the issues of Brawl and this new, nameless installment of SSB, I’m shocked that Melee was as great as it was given that it came out on a brand-new console only 2 years after its predecessor while Brawl and the new one each had 7 years between them and their predecessor.
…with all the talk of HD, potentially 1080, graphics and high-res textures in Destiny I am somewhat astonished that they put it on the ancient last-gen consoles as those things can’t come close to delivering the game’s much-hyped graphical experience.
[Update: A Reddit post clarifies that the problem is not exclusively caused by Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, citing previous user experiences with Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, and other Wii U games. Faulty flash memory chips are suspected to be at fault, though a consistent, proven cause remains unknown.]
There’s this.
I would be so red-hot. You’re looking at at least 3+ huge games this is happening to.
Users advised to NOT turn off their systems; Nintendo investigating issue. Users are strongly advised to not format off their Wii U if they experience the same problem.
As pointed out by one Reddit user, the error code 160-0103 has been known to occur on numerous Wii U games, such as:
•Scribblenauts
•Call of Duty: Black Ops II
•Batman: Arkham Origins
•Super Mario 3D World
•New Super Mario Bros. U
•Mario Kart 8
•Hyrule Warriors
•The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD
So I’ve gotten more than halfway through Valkyria Chronicles and I didn’t know what buying stuff from the reporter did. Now I come to find that it, among other things, unlocks a massive assortment of cutscenes from a menu that is not required to be used to advance the game.
Now I have some catching up to do; it’d be a shame to skip all these Kari Wahlgren lines lol.
I’m not much of a Street Fighter fan but I did find the reveal that it’ll be PS4 and PC exclusive to be interesting. I’m hoping that more console developers get on the timely, decently-done PC port bandwagon.
I’m all for cross-platform play between console and PC but I wonder how they’ll do it. The PS3 saw a few experiments with Steam but not much came from 'em.
Since I liked the classic Tomb Raider series (and the Indiana Jones knockoff of it lol), the Uncharted series has always intrigued me but I’ve never been able to give it a go. The level in this demo looks rather free-form which is interesting, the grappling seems similar to TR’s and the combat seems decent. Dunno about that regenerating health though.
The video doesn’t appear to have many QTEs in the hand-to-hand fights?? The boulders at the waterfall reminded me of Tomb Raider’s QTEs.
Everyone in this game seems to love talking to himself lol. On that, it seems like every character has the same favorite word.
I still haven’t really played a Witcher game. I have both, but I’ve only fired 'em up for a bit just to see what all the fuss was about. I don’t mind the delays (hopefully they’ll address the rumor of the weaker graphics) as I won’t be getting this until GOG puts it out dirt cheap/free, like I did with 1 & 2, but I did see this link to an older article where the Witcher 3 devs said that there would be no more delays and that was a bit amusing/concerning to me.
I wish we’d get more news on their pending Cyberpunk game TBH.
It would have been nice if Nintendo had mentioned that some of the Amiibo figures would be released in limited quantities. Then maybe I would have bought more than the two that I got.
True, it is inconvenient to the consumer to suddenly spring this news last minute. I guess when you have so many Amiibo, it’s not surprising though seeing how sales figures would weed out the weaklings so grab what you can now. This is a new test and a battle for who sticks around as “favorites.”
