T3 Networks to “leverage” expertise to bring Viz titles to TV, other venues

T3 Networks, a provider of film, media, licensing and distribution, to play key role in bringing top Viz Media anime titles to broadcast TV.
I think it’s just comforting to know somebody is behind televised anime. Other than Inuyasha TFA probably going to Adult Swim, I wonder where Nura, Vampire Knight and Professor Layton will go.

The media licensor and distributor T3 Networks Inc. announced this week that the company has ceased operations. The company announced in September that it signed an agreement with the anime distributor Viz Media for television and film distribution. T3 Networks intended to market titles on Viz Media’s behalf to television companies and other venues looking for programming content.
T3 Networks’ farewell message stated “we lack the sales, personnel and additional resources essential to continue operations as a business.” The distributor cited problems with licensing, copyright issues, and day-to-day operations. The company thanked its supporters but said “we do not have the financial and human capital resources to take on all of these challenges.”
T3 Networks also its acknowledged its participation in last week’s Internet “blackout” campaign to protest the U.S. Congress’ Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) bills.
Well that got killed rather quickly, and before anything came of it.
And another attempt to get anime on TV falls on it’s face. Did this company actually accomplish anything during their existence?

I just love these surveys, I’m such an outlier that my responses likely skew the results. After all, their max age choice was 46+, a full 10 years younger than me.
