Weekend Binge Guide: Spring Break = HOURS of Anime

#1

Ah, Spring Break how I miss you! You were very good to me. I loved when you would welcome me with open arms into your week of freedom from homework and lectures. As an adult, I can now see how I never truly appreciated you. The nights that rolled into days… all filled with anime binging!

What I wouldn’t give to be able to have a week of free time that I could fill with episode after episode –series after series. Depending on your course load you could very well be looking at 240 hours to fill with anime. Granted you should probably fit in roughly 3-4 hours of sleep each day, and you might have a part-time job… so maybe you really have about 120 hours that you could feasibly be enjoying anime.

Take note of my lamenting and be sure that YOU take full advantage of the precious time you have now… Plan your watch list ahead of time to make sure you can get in as much anime as you can! If I were able to have a full week to watch anime I’d plan to watch, in no particular order:

Devils & Realist - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Love Stage - 10 episodes; approximately 5 hours

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Akame ga Kill - 24 episodes; approximately 12 hours

Persona 4: The Animation - 25 episodes; approximately 12.5 hours

Black Bullet - 13 episodes; approximately 6.5 hours

Flowers of Evil - 13 episodes; approximately 6.5 hours

Gatchaman Crowds - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Brynhildr in the Darkness - 13 episodes; approximately 6.5 hours

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions –Heart- - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Ef ~ A Tale of Memories - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Ef ~ A Tale of Melodies - 12 episodes; approximately 6 hours

Hakuoki Seasons 1 – 3 - 34 episodes; approximately 17 hours

Hakuoki OVAs - 6 episodes; approximately 3 hours

The Garden of Words - approximately 1 hour

Children Who Chase Lost Voices - approximately 2 hours

That’s 120.5 hours (give or take) of anime! Should you be so inclined to take on this list during your Spring Break – do remember to binge watch responsibly!

  • Use the buddy system – have someone watch with you or someone check
    in on you
  • Take bathroom breaks
  • Be sure to stay hydrated
  • Get up and
    stretch
  • Don’t forget to eat
    and above all else…LOVE ANIME

Sincerely,
Kuuhaku
