yeah, i said that LONG ago in regards to the yellow subtitles, that i THINK it was you (might have been dragoon) who said the Japanese companies wanted the subtitles to be yellow, so other companies had no choice in the matter what color they made the primary subtitles.
i recall the discussion being on the show where a guy was traveling, and had a crow friend/familiar and the crow turned into this arm covering apparatus that worked as an energy gun. being on TAN and subbed the show being mostly in desert surroundings means i hard a hard time reading ANYTHING, thus prompted the mentioned of yellow subtitles upon a yellow background.
now i am curious what that show was called so if i can find a transcript to know what i watched and what happened in it except for a bird turning into a gun on a guys arm, who was a bandit king or something, while being obsessed with crystal shards… :blink: i think there was a mailman that often showed up where the main character was also.

It was probably Dragoon, and the show was most likely Jing: King of Bandits (TV) - Anime News Network
