[details=Spoiler]Mom isn’t a very popular character with this family and if the dreams are anything like the truth, I can see why. In fact, everyone except Nazuna falls into a funk and dresses in black on the day she is supposed to come home. But no time was given and the later it gets, it seems she isn’t coming after all and didn’t even have the courtesy to call. And of course once everyone goes to bed and falls asleep, mom finally does comes home………
Shizuka has been described as “an audacious, somehow witch-like woman who seems to be able to talk to the dead” on TV, but she really doesn’t seem all that scary. She greets her children by name except for Kozue, the forgotten middle child. And once she starts talking – yup – she is pretty scary!
Shizuka came home because she sensed “love” in the air as she looks pointedly at Souta. He says Kozue is the one in love, but Shizuka is still ignoring that middle daughter’s existence. Mom needs to find the right life partners for her darling children even if she has to “employ various methods like drugs, magic, and weapons”. Souta believes that these very “methods” may have caused his father to die young.
Time to interrogate Souta about his “girlfriend” and perhaps even meet the girl herself. Souta gets the feeling that Inami might be in immediate danger! He finally returns to work and, seeing how down he is, Inami tries to encourage him. He is falling in love with her, but he can’t so as to protect her from his mother. But instead of pushing her away, Souta tries to bring her closer, admitting to himself that he really does love her. But how is he going to protect her from Shizuka?[/details]
