Bought it because a freind from Planetzot and MAL is a ravid fan of this. She says it is an amazing show (Although I should at least tell her I bought it, got it on a whim). I look forward to it. I heard other good things about it as well, and it looked pretty good to me. Oh and I can’t miss a dub with Spike Spencer in it  .

Just watch it when you’re in a mood to pay attention. It’s pretty much like Vandread, many years before there was Vandread, with a lot of twists. Space Opera meets Abenobashi/Excel Saga + PPD + mecha homages. Lots of very clever fast jokes, parodies at blazing speed. The more attention you pay to it, the more rewarding it is. It’s perhaps my favorite Spike Spencer performance for an ADV title - and the cast was a monster big production for its time, one of the biggest dub productions in terms of huge cast. It’s a great historic title to own for many reasons, luckily it’s also fantastic.

PP and I have championed its cause here for some years now, and so have others (Anime On DVD’s reviews of it). It’s a shame that titles like these are not as “Hot and trendy” today, where today it’s just all about the immediate and instant, the what’s HOT in Japan NOW trend.

I just can’t recommend Martian Successor Nadesico enough.

Why is that?[/quote]

I found myself not really enjoying a lot of the games coming out anymore so I sold my Xbox to a friend a while ago. The only thing I play lately anyway are some sports games and I can play that when I go over to friends’. Whatever little I am spending for entertainment nowadays I just put into buying Anime related stuff instead, which I find more rewarding.

I know what you mean Dragoon. I haven’t really been playing (or buying) video games too much lately either. Most of the money I spend on entertainment is going towards anime, which I also find much more rewarding. The last game I bought was Eternal Sonata for the PS3 (which kicks all sorts of ass by the way) and I’m still not very far in that (still you all should buy it and say hi Sam Riegel and Patrick Seitz! They own, even in video games!). Not to mention all the other video games I have that I still have to beat (one of these days I’ll beat you Radiata Stories…one of these days… and FYI Stephanie Sheh’s best role is in this game IMO).

I used to spend about half on video games, half on anime, but now it’s almost all of my spending money going towards anime (and a little on manga once in awhile). So I get where you are coming from Dragoon. I haven’t played a game in a few months now. Although I am not much of a fan of sports including games based on them :stuck_out_tongue: . 3rd person shooters and rpgs are my kinda games…

Besides I’d rather spend money on an industry that needs it, and enjoy myself more. Then spend money on games I may never play. Plus my Wiii is broke. If I buy an anime I WILL watch it, and all of it. I can’t remember the last video game I could beat. I suck at games I really do…

Sorry for being off topic.
