I have to say I’m sort of surprised they didn’t use an English name for this one. That’s title is quite a mouth full…lol

First ep. down

Not sure what to make of this one really, at least from the first ep. it seems rather random.

I liked the first episode. It seems to be a bit of a mixed bag at this point, but it has a couple of elements I like. It will be interesting to see how they bring it all together as the story unfolds.

Episode 2 -

spoiler

Yuuhi seems an overprotected child and is against this arranged marriage, but takes her father’s suggestion of living with Junichi as a way to get out of her house. However, her father has someone named “Mister” watching over her. And Yuuhi is still very upset that Junichi stole her first kiss. Interesting that Junichi’s father calls him from out of the blue from what sounds like a fire fight to tell him that he has a fiancée – a little late since the girl has already moved in! Yuuhi even seems to like Junichi, although she claims not to.
*
Yuuhi’s first time in a supermarket was funny. I like how she mistook the shopping cart for a baby stroller! At least it seems that she and Minato are bonding and becoming friends. Yuuhi’s first time in a kitchen was also funny. She was just like a little kid playing with all the appliances. I’m glad her first attempt at cooking turned out well, even if it did take such a long time. Yuuhi seemed pleased that Junichi was happy with her cooking. It was hysterical when the lights went out and another accidental misunderstanding occurred. It’s funny that Minato and Yuuhi both know wrestling moves – and the same ones at that!
*
It turns out that Yuuhi is a sleepwalker too, which might get amusing. It looks like Junichi’s parents really are some kind of secret agent / adventurer types. This arranged marriage must have come about because Junichi’s father rescued Yuuhi’s father – I think that was the scene in the first episode. It’s also interesting that Junichi and Minato were raised in the jungle until recently. I’m intrigued by this show and I’m already wondering who the bad guys and good guys are!

I didn’t go back and check the preview at the end of ep. 2 to be sure it’s the right episode (believe it is), but after ep. 3 I feel like we skipped over something or missed an episode.

Episode 3 -

spoiler

A “seven wonders” episode! I really like these – probably because none of my schools ever had any. However, I think only six were mentioned here. It begins with Sugishita investigating something at night in the dark school and screaming. What did he see? The “anatomical model that moves” or did he see his future self in a mirror? In any case, he isn’t in class the next day and it turns out that he’s missing.
*
Junichi and his friends are summoned to the old unused school building by the student council president. This is where Sugishita was last seen and Junichi and his friends are asked to look for him – while a girl watches them from a window. Once inside, the ghost stories begin and of course they split up to make the search go faster and of course Junichi is paired with Yuuhi. This was done on purpose so as they search, the others can spy on them and discover the true nature of their relationship.
*
However, Junichi and Yuuhi have a ghostly encounter in one of the classrooms in the form of a moving anatomical figure. But it turns out to be Nagomi Shiraishi, a classmate of Minato’s and a school prefect. She accuses them of an illicit meeting and they begin to think she’s a ghost when she starts to play with them. They ask her about Sugishita and she directs them to a wall. There is a rope there and Junichi pulls it, opening a trap door that they fall into as Nagomi wishes them luck.
*
A little later, Yuuhi wakes up on top of Junichi in a compromising position and scrambles off him, calling him a pervert. She keeps attacking him until they realize that they’re trapped. This and the way they tried reach the trap door was really funny. Funny too that Junichi’s parents seem to be in a similar situation someplace else. But at least Junichi and Yuuhi have found a sleeping Sugishita in the room with them and eventually their friends find them. However, I liked the way Junichi’s parents got out of their situation better.
*
So, it turns out that Sugishita had been living in the old school after getting thrown out of his apartment. He now knows too that Yuuhi is Junichi’s fiancée but says he will keep the secret. I was a little disappointed that there weren’t any seven wonders after all. But I had to wonder again as Nagomi reports to her superiors through a creepy painting. This is obviously her base of operations which is probably why she doesn’t want anyone else there, but is she really some kind of spy or just some kind of nut job?

Episode 4 -

spoiler

It seems to be getting harder to hide the fact that Junichi and Yuuhi are living in the same house from their very astute friends!
*
Karen invites the class to a casual party on her estate and I have a feeling that it really won’t b all that casual. Junichi must have the same feeling because he declines, so sneaky Karen gives the invitation to Minato instead and Junichi will have to go now. The party is on a cruise ship and Karen’s definition of casual turns out to be very formal as suspected. At least Karen has formal clothes for them all to change into. I loved Junichi’s reaction to his sister and the fact that he asked her to cover up. Unfortunately she did.
*
Nagomi is on the ship as well, still “observing”. When the kitchen crew gets seasick, Yuuhi offers to help them out. She cooks the same way I do and she does it so well that the others kick her out of the kitchen! While awaiting the food, Karen tries to entertain her guests with jokes from the “Ayanokouji Secret Party Joke Collection” and I can see why they were kept secret!
*
As the girls are cooking in the kitchen, Nagomi shows up with a huge fish, but won’t tell the others how she got it. While Karen is telling her jokes to a pained audience, Yuuhi gets hit on by some guys. She insults them, but it seems that one recognizes her name. Back in the kitchen, Nagomi looks like a witch stirring her cauldron and says that she’s made “human bone soup” even as the others take it as a joke. I still don’t think I’d want to eat it!
*
Karen is up to joke #96 when dinner is announced to her relieved guests. However, Minato steals Karen’s thunder with the cutting up of Nagomi’s tuna and Karen leaves in a huff. She decides to resort to “Plan B” – a giant octopus man! Of course everyone knows it’s staged and badly at that, however Yuuhi is really scared. Karen is happy to think that her quests are terrified and that she can shine as she protects them. But Nagomi is the only one getting into the spirit of the staged fight.
*
The octopus man gets too close to Yuuhi and she runs in terror, screaming as she goes. But she trips and ends up setting off the fireworks that hit the ship and set it on fire. Then she runs screaming from that disaster as well. Everyone evacuates, leaving Karen still fighting the octopus man, but he picks up the protesting Karen and gets her outside as well. Once outside, it is soon realized that Minato and Yuuhi are missing and Junichi returns to search for them. He finds Minato and sends her outside and continues on for Yuuhi.
*
He finds the frightened girl and she yells at him for not saving her sooner, but her relief is evident as she hugs Junichi. It seems that Minato didn’t quite make it outside, but Nagomi saves her by mysteriously putting out the flames. I am even more curious about her now. Is she an android, or an alien, or perhaps a witch with magical powers? Was that scene in the kitchen a hint? I am also beginning to wonder what she is really observing. Maybe she isn’t a spy after all.
*
The next day, Karen apologizes and thanks the group for their help and Yuuhi complains about the octopus. However, the others enjoyed themselves and Karen promises to invite them to her family’s hot spring resort. Why does everyone suddenly look so horrified? I also like how the show kind of puts Junichi and his parents in similar situations that are completely different. I am really having fun with this show!

Episode 5 -

That was a funny date that wasn’t a date. I had a feeling that Minato would back out and let Junichi and Yuuhi get to know one another a little better. And for a girl that says she doesn’t like Junichi, Yuuhi really panicked over him catching a cold. Of course all of their classmates find out about the date too! So much for keeping secrets!

Episode 6 -

Karen tries to make up for the cruise ship disaster by taking everyone to a resort. But then she has to drag everyone to a “secret” hot spring that happens to be a mixed bath and I wonder why Junichi was the only one that minded. His later “revelation” was funny – especially since the girls had already left! In the end, I think Karen did make up for that last party after all.

Episode 7 –

It’s the school festival and Minato will be making Yakisoba. Yuuhi decides on the same thing and I wonder what made her think she could compete with Minato’s cooking. In any case, it took them a long time to get it right, but they still can’t get any customers. They go through a couple of costume changes before ending up with cat ears and bathing suits. Too funny! But it works since they get their customers.
*
In the meantime, Junichi was kidnapped and made into the “legendary hero”. He ends up missing the festival, but somehow becomes the big ending – which backfired, but was also hysterical. And then he claims not to remember anything, but he did get to enjoy the pictures of the girls in their costumes!

Episode 8 –

It seems that Junichi is really into school swimsuits and fantasizes about them. Good thing Tsukasa took plenty of pictures during the festival!
*
I liked the big Game of Life they were playing and how it reflected a couple of the episodes.
*
Tsukasa wants to be a voice actor and even goes to an audition, but gets too nervous and fails. However, it was really sweet of Junichi to give her the confidence to want to keep trying.

Episode 9 –

spoiler

Yuuhi does not care about celebrating Junichi’s birthday but Minato talks her into helping her with a surprise party. I thought it was funny that Minato took notes at Junichi’s last birthday so she can make this one perfect. Funny too that she gives Yuuhi the task of getting the present. Not really wanting the job and not knowing what to get him, Yuuhi asks Karen for help which is probably a big mistake – especially when she started going through all those catalogs! And then Karen wanted to hire a detective!
*
Yuuhi takes things into her own hands and sneaks into Junichi’s room to see what he likes. It was hilarious when Minato helped Yuuhi go through Junichi’s porn collection! And when Yuuhi confesses that she can’t think of a present, Minato tells her to make the cake – another mistake, I’m sure – especially looking at that recipe! I liked how they kicked Junichi out of the house and the big kid goes to the playground. Wheeee!
*
He returns home to his surprise party and I loved his parent’s gift – a totem pole! And Minato gets a nice opal ring from them as well. Not only does Nagomi deliver the totem pole, but she also wraps herself up in ribbons and tells a shocked Junichi that she is his present!
*
Of course the cake came out badly and Yuuhi is very unhappy with the results. It tastes awful, but Junichi keeps eating it and it was very sweet of him to tell Yuuhi that it was delicious just because she made it. Awww! However, Minato doesn’t seem too happy about that and seems to be feeling the beginnings of some jealousy.

hi i have a question about this anime ? are Junichi and Minato brother and sister ? Cause its kinda getting a little weird bewteen those two ? PM Me the answer as to not Spoil anything for someone thats just started watching it

Episode 10 –

Junichi and Yuuhi finally admit their feelings for one another! But where will that leave Minato? And now Junichi seems torn.
*
Yuuhi puts all the advice she got together and sneaks into Junichi’s room at night – dressed as a maid! Too funny! They don’t want to disturb Minato, but I have a feeling she knows exactly where Yuuhi is.
*
And now that Yuuhi has gone to visit her father, Minato is acting strange, burning dinner for the first time ever, and it looks like she may take advantage of Yuuhi being out of the house! I wonder who Junichi will really end up with.

From the first post in this thread:

ok them why at the end do junichi and minato  that kinda doesnt look like there B And S  but anywhy i stop watching this sick anime  brother and sister falling in love is just to much for me to handle and pretty sick :frowning:

From Wikipedia: Akane Iro ni Somaru

So, as is usual for eroge (erotic games) for the PC, the two are blood-related but that does not stop them from getting it on.
And as is usual for ports to Sony’s PlayStation, the story is changed so that the two are not blood-related; sexual attraction is OK.
This anime adaptation we are watching is somewhere in the middle: Are they or aren’t they? Will they or won’t they? Stay tuned.

Episode 11 –

spoiler

Yuuhi returns and notices that things between Junichi and Minato seem a little strange. She confronts both Minato and Junichi but they tell her that nothing happened while she was gone. Still, Yuuhi has a funny feeling that things aren’t quite right and she now wonders if her own feelings for Junichi are the same. Sure that something did happen between the siblings, she gives Junichi the cold shoulder.
*
Concerned about the relationship, the girls at school get together and question Minato about the way the couple acts at home. Yuuhi comes upon the “Anti-ennui Committee” and the girls tell her that they want to help her relationship. They ask her what started the fight and Yuuhi dissolves the committee, telling them that nothing is wrong. Now her friends are really concerned and Minato just looks guilty.
*
Junichi gets called away by his parents and this looks very suspicious. However, this means that Yuuhi and Minato will be spending the night alone together. They talk about their relationship with each other and how much Yuuhi has grown because of it. Yuuhi declares that Minato is her best friend and this only upsets Minato.
*
After dinner, Yuuhi tells Minato that she can’t stay there anymore and it isn’t only because Minato’s parents might be coming home. She tells Minato that she already knows the real reason that they can’t live together. Minato protests and Yuuhi tells a shocked Minato that she’s no longer engaged to Junichi.
*
It got very emotional when Minato apologized to Yuuhi and Yuuhi said that she likes both Junichi and Minato but that they “are full of lies”. She tells Minato to trust her with the truth and Minato finally admits that she’s in love with her brother. Yuuhi forgives the confused Minato and hugs her, telling her that “love has no correct answers. Probably.” Yuuhi then gets angry at Junichi for making Minato suffer and they both end up having a good laugh at Junichi’s expense. Now I wonder how Junichi will feel about all of this, since the girls are leaving it up to him!

Episode 12 –

spoiler

So, the men that had Junichi were really bad guys from some cult called “The Unseeing Hand” that kidnap children and use them as “subjects”. I wonder why they threw this in now for the last episode – unless this is who Nagomi works for. In any case, Junichi’s parents do show up to save him but they have to leave right away. Nagase tries to tell his son something about Minato that Junichi can’t hear because of the noise from the take-off. Perhaps Nagase was trying to tell him that Minato isn’t his sister.
*
They leave Junichi stranded on the mountain and he finally makes it home to be greeted by Minato and Yuuhi. Funny reactions all around when Yuuhi accuses Junichi of getting excited by his sister! Junichi accuses Yuuhi of being jealous and she says they should break up. Yuuhi punches him and moves out. A little later, Minato tells Junichi why Yuuhi is so upset. Now Minato is moving out too, felling that she can’t live there happily anymore because they hurt Yuuhi. As she leaves, she tells Junichi to make a decision. Odd that she says it’s “his” house and not “their” house – perhaps another indication that they aren’t really related.
*
As Junichi remembers how Minato came to live with him, I like how the others try to help Junichi and Minato. Sugishita even takes Junichi to the beach to talk, but it’s a weird conversation and Junichi gets stranded again! Minato is staying with Nagomi in her very strange home that just looks like a computer room. Yuuhi is staying with Karen at her mansion and I kind of like Karen’s room. It’s big enough to hold a video arcade and a restaurant!
*
Junichi has a very strange conversation with his middle school self – The Invincible Geno Killer – who is happy that he’s alone again and free to do as he pleases. He also urges the present Junichi to be with his sister and once again Junichi admits that he loves Minato, although it isn’t normal. He seems really torn apart by this, but at school the next day, he seems a lot better. He meets Yuuhi in the hallway and shows her that he is again wearing the gloves that he wore when he was the Geno Killer and tells her that he is sealing away his “other self” – apparently he has made his choice and it isn’t Yuuhi. It also seems that the self he’s sealed away is the one that objects to Junichi loving his sister.
*
He meets Minato after school and tells her to come home and she asks for a reason. Junichi tells her that he loves her and doesn’t want to lose her. She reminds him that she is his sister, but he doesn’t seem to care and she runs into his arms as their friends peek from around the corner. Strange that Karen is the only one that seems upset with his choice!
*
In the end, Nagomi burns “File X” and is joined by Mitsuki. Now I am wondering if Mitsuki has been her boss all this time from the way they are talking. Nagomi tells her that there is hope for the human race as they are joined by another Nagomi! With a spaceship hovering overhead, I’m guessing that they are aliens! I’m a little confused now. I wonder if the aliens and The Unseeing Hand are one in the same. This is just too funny at this point.
*
Junichi is at home, taking a bath and Minato walks in (wearing a swimsuit) to wash his back. As Junichi deals with his embarrassment, Yuuhi bursts in and calls Junichi an “immoral animal”. Seeing this scene, she decides to move back in with them hoping that with her presence, Junichi will control himself. Minato is happy that Yuuhi is back, but Junichi isn’t and Yuuhi says “If I’m not here, I don’t know what you two will do!” just before she tries to drown Junichi! It looks like things really aren’t changing much at all.
*
Funny too that Junichi’s father also has a “File X” and his wife tells him that he should have Junichi about Minato – again leading me to believe that they aren’t siblings after all. Junichi’s father claims that he did tell Junichi, but his wife reminds him that Junichi didn’t hear him and his father says it isn’t important anyway. He then speaks to Yuuhi’s father on the radio, who isn’t giving up either and I wonder if this whole thing wasn’t some kind of set up. But the ending dialogue really had me rolling!!
*
I know that some have had a moral problem with this show because Junichi and Minato are supposedly brother and sister, but I hope they realize this is just fantasy. It isn’t a real story and it shouldn’t stop anyone from watching this fun series and just laughing out loud! It is well worth it!
