Compare it to Animeigo’s release of the Bubblegum Crisis OVA series, where they used a distinct color for the subtitles of any song that was playing during the show.
And don’t forget Kaleido Star. I don’t remember who did that series, but it was rather song heavy and in both seasons they made the effort to translate lyrics. I do prefer how Animeigo did it though, and they did it with other releases, as well as other companies around that time copying the multi-color effort.
Because normally when I’m watching something on disc (read: DVD) I watch it on my laptop, with my earbuds in, while playing a game on my PS3, Wii, Gamecube, or Xbox 360. Unless the disc is subbed only, then I’m watching it on my TV through my PS3. I occasionally watch a disc on my PS3 while gaming on my laptop, but not often.
If want to see the Subs of the songs for Next Stage and don’t mind the episodes being Subtitled, then check them out on You Tube they are there from different posters with the songs Subtitled.
The only problem is with episode 5(The Forbidden Star,D.G.T.O. Casino episode) ) there is some kind of B.S. Copyright complaint and You Tube has the audio muted for this episode.
When watching the episodes you will find the wording a little different from Sentai’s subs, but that’s minor I don’t know why they have to change the wording on subs why they can’t leave it as is?
I am awaiting the arrival in the mail of Next Stage from Right Stuf and hope that they are doing subs for all the songs not just opening and closing songs, have to wait and see.
I hope this helps you and as I said check Next Stage on You Tube,it’s best viewed on a PC or a TV that can access the net and You Tube so as to make the subs easier to see and read, good luck and enjoy.
It’s rather convenient having a BD drive and a BD program since my monitor is way better than my old CRT entertainment TV.
Though it’s a shame PowerDVD disables screenshots for BDs, which makes things awkward when needing to show something, since I have to bust out my digicam and try to take a picture.
The DRM on BD does drive me nuts. Especially when PowerDVD won’t work with newer versions of it in a conspiracy to make you upgrade it. I did upgrade my software when Infinite Stratos wouldn’t play, but I also discovered the magic of ripping the BDs due to that. All the screenshots I can take then and, depending on how adventurous I feel, I can do things with the subs that the BD sometimes doesn’t allow.
I wonder how well those external USB bluray drives work.

Why does the CG in this seem a few tiers below Aquarion’s? Satelite did the CG for both shows, and they’re the best in anime CG so I’m not quite sure what to make of that.
…and here I was, thinking that it was “code” for a HD CRT tv or something like that. The simple explanation didn’t occur to me lol. I’m kind of a romantic when it comes to CRT tech-I could kinda identify with Sabat’s character in Steins;gate-but I can’t contemplate watching anything on a standard-res one.
