Tired of not having ANY anime on your awesome new Nokia phone? Well, we’ve got your solution right here! Nokia has just launched it’s new Ovi Phone Service, which allows you to watch tons of great shows right on your phone! For now we’re offering the first 5 episodes of Kiba, Mezzo, and Azumanga Daioh, but as the service grows, we’ll be adding more and more for you guys to watch on the go.

For those of you who’d rather cozy up on your couch at home comes the new DirecTV VOD Service. All you need is a new HD DVR box and a broadband connection, and you’ll be watching your favorite shows in no time. We’ll also be adding more shows as demand grows, so watch out for that!

If you still crave some anime goodness, there’s always our new Online Player, just in case! wink [/quote]

Due to today’s news, I’m seriously considering switching back to DirecTV. But I would still probably be stuck with Comcast Internet, as their the only high speed internet around, other than Windstream DSL. I’m stuck between a rock and hard place right now.

Hey, that’s what I’m using now.

My broadband connection is Comcast High-Speed Internet. I have the combo deal, where they knock off $14/month if it is bundled with any other Comcast service. Basic Cable is $13.35/month, so I save $0.65/month by keeping cable TV for the local channels. (It also avoids the Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos problem.)

So, Comcast for broadband and HR21 “DirecTV Plus” for VOD works for me.

Yeah, but with my feelings toward Comcast, I would prefer to drop them altogether. But I may have to go your route, due to limited options.

New? I’ve been downloading Anime Network from DirecTV On Demand since a year ago last October, IIRC. I know it was officially launched with a press release dated June 30, 2008: http://dtv.client.shareholder.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=318983.

I am aware, but AN and DirecTV say there is something new about the VOD/partnership, and so it was posted.
