Anime Network on iTunes

Hey!
I’m new around here, but I have a few questions in regards to Anime Network on iTunes. I’ve done a forum search, and couldn’t find a similar topic but I hope I haven’t committed a faux pas by creating this thread.

First of all, can I just say; Anime Network on iTunes is utterly sensational! I was going to wait for the DVD with Clannad’s dub, but since I found it on iTunes I just bought it from there instead. Unreal, and so convenient. Keep up the good work.

And… On the subject of keeping this good work coming. Can we expect to see more shows making their way too onto iTunes in the near future?

Mainly Princess Tutu and Nurse Witch Komugi /not being subtle at all

I know to request series like this is paramount to being a selfish fanboy, but I’d slap down the cash in a heart beat if either of those two series appeared on iTunes.

Also, on a completely different topic; Can you please tell me which version of the English dub Appleseed has? From the trailer, I’d say it’s the old dub but it says the licensor is Sentai Filmworks -who did the new dub for the BluRay version. I’ll download that instantly if it’s the new Sentai dub, but I’m confused and can’t tell.

Again, keep up the terrific work Anime Network, and thanks in advance for your help.

It is the Sentai Filmworks version. (The Anime Network and Sentai Filmworks are both part of a group of companies.)

Here is some background information from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADVision:

On September 1, 2009, ADV announced that it was selling off its assets, including intellectual properties, its distribution arm and the Anime Network to four companies: Seraphim Digital Studios, AEsir Holdings LLC, Valkyrie Media Partners LLC and SXION 23 LLC. The impact of this sale on the company’s plans to license and release new titles, is still not fully known, but the ADV brand name and logo have been retired. Anime News Network has reported that Seraphim Studios, Valkyrie Media Partners and SXION 23 are all corporations registered (initially filed) by Griffin D. Vance IV, who was ADV’s senior vice president of business and legal affairs.

The following companies all acquired assets from A.D. Vision:
Sentai Filmworks is the licensor company for acquiring Japanese anime into the North American market.
AEsir Holdings has licensed rights to most of ADV Films’ former library of titles (some titles are licensed directly by Sentai Filmworks).
Seraphim Studios acquired Amusement Park Media, ADV’s production studio, and it was renamed Seraphim Digital Studios.
Valkyrie Media Partners acquired the Anime Network. The network continues to operate as before the sale.
Section23 Films is a distributor and marketing company of Switchblade Pictures, Sentai Filmworks, and AEsir Holdings.

We are always looking for new distribution outlets for our shows and iTunes is a valued partner. More shows are heading to the iTunes store this year. Stay tuned to our news blog, Twitter (@theanimenetwork) and the forums here for the unveiling of these new titles when they become available.

And, I’ll just tag on one more thing…
