(I suppose technically I should mark these with spoiler alerts, but I don’t think it’s much of a spoiler to indicate that the young hero and his friends are somehow not all slaughtered at the end of the fourth episode of a twelve-episode series…)
All but one of this week’s episodes have arrived on Cutting Edge and On Demand–K-On #9 is off searching for K-On #8 and the rest of last week’s missing episodes, none of which have arrived. Minor Anomaly: Clannad After Story is split between two tiles on On Demand–#4 is under a new Clannad After Story tile, but #3 was put into the old Clannad tile as a loose, “seasonless” episode. Lastly, to end on a small positive note, Love Stage #1 and Log Horizon #21 finally made it to On Demand.
I watch the serials that TCM has on Saturday mornings, right now it’s “Terry & the Pirates”. It always ends with a cliffhanger (of course); but THEN, THEN they show you a preview of the next episode and everyone is fine and continuing on. So clearly not much of the “certain death” they tout.
I watched the opening of “Terry and the Pirates”, the original slow motion subtitles . I like the story text on the scrolling clear film overlayed on the starting scene. Advanced technology for it’s time. Look where we are today.
The obvious cut in the opening is where they change it to what happened last week. The first 3-4 paragraphs are always the same. I call it “comma-overload”.
No show/series SD & HD have been added. Two (2) show/series have been removed. Here’s the update to the entire list. Also added are the series episode counts. The short version:
First of all, let me start the cycle of New Year’s greetings with one for the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashannah (I want to be punctilious about hitting them all this year, because I missed marking some of them last year–the Buddhist New Year, for one–and look what it got us…): “May you, your family and and loved ones, and the world be written in the Book of Life for a sweet, happy, healthy and joyous new year.”
As for the episodes, well, this week’s crew have all arrived, on both Cutting Edge and On Demand, but the ones that were missing are still missing. May they have a happy new year, too,…wherever they are…
I hadn’t realized that was my last post, or I would have tried for something special. And I still haven’t finished that piece on dubbing for MaouSadao…
