This is one of my favorite episodes. With Nagisa sick again, all the girls are after Tomoya, but Nagisa still dominates his thoughts.
*
This is where Tomoyo starts to wake up Tomoya and Sunohara in the mornings so they wonât be late for school. So funny!
*
And the scene where Tomoya and Kyou get locked up together is just laugh out loud funny - one of my absolute favorite scenes. Itâs even better with the dub.

I love how all the girls fight over Tomoya with food and even Fuko shows up with her starfish creations. And poor Tomoya tries to please all of them.
*
Tomoya saves Tomoyoâs reputation for the election and she tells him about the cherry trees and her family.
*
Nagisa is back at school and when the other girls see how important she is to Tomoya â even if he canât see it himself just yet â they give up their pursuit of him. And Tomoya is just so protective of Nagisa too - not letting anyone else touch her when she gets injured. So sweet!
Love Akio telling Nagisa and Tomoya to go make out in their bedroom to keep them out of the shed.
(
Also nice how Nagisa almost said yup to falling in love again with Tomoya again during the baseball game.
OK, so I write the above post, then head out the door to go to work. I check the mail on my way to the car and guess whatâs in there⌠a letter from RightStuf! It was informing me that they had tried to run my debit card and it had been declined. By the time I got to a phone I could use for personal calls it was just after 5 PM, CT, so I knew they had left for the weekend. I tried again on Monday in hopes that they just might be open-but I knew it was a long sot and it didnât pan out.
I called again this morning and asked why they were trying to get the payment last week. The guy on the phone said, âthe shipment came in last week and we tried to collect the paymentâŚâ (or something to that effect. I said, âBut Iâm nmot going to put in the money until just before the 15thâ and he said, âtheyâre in nowâ and I said, âWhat?â I then brought up the sale and he said heâd have the price adjusted. I told him I had put the money in the account associated with that debit card last Saturday. He ran the card, it was accepted, and now all I have to do is wait to get my own copy of Clannad. I may have it before the weekend is here!
There is something interesting I noted about the new Clannad set. The menu not only lists the episode number, but the name as well. I know there had been some complaints from certain fans about only listing the numbers. I hope this will appease them some, but Iâm sure they will something else to complain aboutâŚlol
I agree - there will always be whiners!

Tomoya moves in with Nagisa and gets a taste of family life. It was sad that he didnât know what it was like. It was also a great reaction from Sunohara when he finds out that Tomoya is living with Nagisa. Even he can see something between Tomoya and Nagisa although Tomoya denies it.

The story for the play is decided on. Nagisa says itâs about âa young girl living in a world thatâs endedâ and Tomoya is sure heâs heard it somewhere before as well. Sunoharaâs love spell was funny and when it was Tomoyaâs turn, he made sure Nagisa spoke to him fist. Funny that he made Fuko pretend she was a zombie so she wouldnât speak to him.
*
I liked it when Akio chased Tomoya and Nagisa out of the shed, telling them to go and make out! Akio also tells Tomoya the story of Nagisaâs past and how she almost died, but doesnât want him to tell Nagisa. When they want to have a family picnic, Tomoya panics, thinking heâs intruding, and runs away. Sunohara, being a good friend, talks some sense into Tomoya and he returns to find out that everyone waited for him and that Akio disregarded his note. I liked it when Akio almost tricks Nagisa into saying she loves Tomoya and then gets upset with her answer!
The group is getting ready for the play and Tomoyo comes to check on them. When she says to Nagisa â âIâm so glad it was youâ and from the way the other girls look at her, I think everyone realizes that Tomoya has made his choice.
*
Tomoya and Nagisa walk to school and Tomoya tells her sheâs cute, but sheâs so engrossed in reading the script that she doesnât hear him and says they can talk later. Then she almost walks into a telephone pole!
*
It was sad when Nagisa was looking for a flashlight in the shed and ends up finding out about her parents and what dreams they gave up for her. Now she feels even more guilty. Akio was right when he said he messed up. He really should have told her.

Itâs the day of the play and Nagisa is very down about her parents. She watches a video of her father in his high school play and feels worse when she sees how good he is. When the curtain rises on her own play, Nagisa breaks down, but Akio shows up and yells at her to carry on his dream. Her mother and Tomoya encourage her as well and sheâs finally able to begin the play. I like the way the play became real with the girl in the other world.
*
The play is a success and Nagisa later remembers some more of the story. Tomoya teases her for singing the Dango Song at the end of the play and confusing the audience. His father shows up and Tomoya finds out that Nagisa invited him. His father compliments the play, but Tomoya wonât even look at him. However, he tells his father not to drink too much as he leaves. And Tomoya asks Nagisa for a date!
*
The group celebrates the success of the play and the school festival continues. I noticed that Sunohara ended up dancing with his little sister, but Tomoya and Nagisa danced together. And they do have their date and end up back at school, in the empty drama room. Tomoya finally tells Nagisa how he feels and she cries. I did too! Again.
Mei is a great PR person for the bakery! When Mei meets with Tomoya later, I love the scenarios that run through his mind about Sunohara. And Tomoya and Nagisa finally hold hands. About time!

Tomoya is unintentionally making things difficult for Tomoyo. The new student council president is also getting very busy with new responsibilities and doesnât have a lot of time for Tomoya. Circumstances are pulling them apart, but nasty rumors are also being spread. Tomoya wants to do the right thing and breaks up with her. But Tomoyo doesnât want to break up and so Tomoya breaks her heart by telling her that he never loved her. Too bad she couldnât see him crying after she left, but I think she really knew why he broke up with her anyway.
*
Tomoyo goes on to do well and itâs very obvious that Tomoya misses her, but tries to do well in school for her sake. However, after school, Tomoya can only get a job in the same town and so heâs stuck in a place he always wanted to leave. But after graduation Tomoyo is waiting for him. She did achieve her dream of saving the cherry trees, but she misses him and tells him that she still loves him. Tomoyo wants to stay with him and it was wonderful to see them make up. I still think they make a good couple.
No body knows but Sentai, and theyâre not talking or even hinting about it.
Iâd probably say, itâs completely dependant on how well the sub-only DVDs sold, and as we donât have access to that infomation, weâll probably never know unless it pops up in a release announcement.
Itâs probably going to more depend on the first series bilingual set sales and the other series bilingual sets. Sub set sales will also play a part ,but I think they are looking at how well the sets they are doing with dubs now are selling. Really if these sets fail is there a point in doing more dubs? They are also looking at the data from the Anime Network and other media outlets. Not saying go out and buy every set or anything just realize one series is not the deciding factor.
The non-arsehole fans really need to let their voices over power the arsehole fans. Right now I hear and see more arsehole fans then non-arsehole ones. So brothers and sisters get out your square plastic , get out your green paper , get out your round metal , get out your pens , get out your writing paper , get out your fingers , email the companies , and let them hear your voices instead of the voice of the arse-holes louding crying give me what I want or Iâll kill you!
