I been seeing this recently in my various newsletters related to web development. Basically, libraries that parse the user agent string may not handle a 3 digit version number.
One site I read info on this on, talked about how we basically went through this exact same thing when browsers first hit 2 digit version numbers.
One of the backup plans for Chrome is to use the second part of the version number, but that’s been 0 for so long (maybe as long as the browser been around) that changing that from zero might break things.
What’s funny is that Homedepot.ca has a related bug in which Firefox can’t go beyond version 94!
