This show is really starting to remind me of a (better, but less imaginative) We Without Wings .

So what was the ANN review for Episode 5 getting at when it claimed that the episode was “outsourced”?

Personally I enjoyed the ep. Though I get the distinct impression from it that Japan doesn’t put much stock in fire safety.

I hope we get some sort of explanation for Kenya’s precociousness. He’s eerily more adult than the other kids, including the 29 year old main guy.

As for Episode 9, I’m not sure that giving custody of Hinazuki to her absentee maternal grandmother is the best idea.

The killer stands revealed, but at what Cost?

A moderate one IMO. I don’t believe this’ll go over too well with the fandom, or at least the ANN reviewer. As the ANN review mentioned a while back, the actual identity of the killer wasn’t too obscured as there weren’t many suspects.

The show didn’t place a lot of focus, I thought, on figuring out who the killer was so I’m not too disappointed by who the killer actually is. I do wish the reveal had been better, but maybe it was just the subtitles.

Hopefully the show can “stick the landing” as it spent a lot of time on the mystery element of stopping the killer and the “Clannad-ing”, both of which have now run their course so what will the show do in its final eps?

BTW, with that sort of seat belt, if you pull on the shoulder, won’t you get slack that can be used for the lap?

Review is out

Tldr: Boo-Hoo I wanted the killer to be someone else.

Reading the review, it seems to me that the reviewer has written himself into a no-win scenario as he says it’d be disappointing if it had been the other candidate or some unknown character.

I’m curious now about the actions of the killer in the old present, the parts of the show shown in 2006. There’s still more mystery left, thinking on it.

I can see what the reviewer was getting at with the dialogue of the reveal of the villain but, geez, a D- was pretty darn harsh for this episode.

Agreed, he was overly harsh, it even happens that way in the manga.
