And to stay on topic. Mamimi is my favorite character in all of anime ;). Really I totally think she’s the coolest person ever. I feel so sorry for her at times though. And I TOTALLY get the she thinks.

The ending to the show, while good, is not my favorite. (no spoilers) I felt like the show should have went in another direction, due to my opinion of the three main girl characters. A different ending would have been better IMO, because although everything is settled and concluded, i did not feel very satisfied. So your ganna love it Cody!

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is about the aftermath of a major earthquake. The show follows three main characters as they try to get home. It is a very good character driven series. It has not been licensed yet but hope it does. Also hope it gets a dub since I want to show it to my mom but her eyesight makes it hard for her to read subs.

Actually, now that you’ve described it, I’m pretty sure I have heard of it. It does sound like it could be interesting. But somehow if it was, I doubt we would get it dubbed. But you never know…

No I think Tokyo Magnitude has a big chance of getting dubbed. It’s a big show, that could appeal to many less hardcore fans. Something funi would go after. It’s not moe, otaku, or some other nit-picking fangroup. It’s a disaster film-turned anime, and those always go over well with the general public. Not sure if it will get dubbed/licensed of course, but it’s something I’d bet on. Looks like a show funi would go after IMO.

That’s certainly a possibility, but it’s become pretty hard to predict licenses these days. Everyone has announced a few licenses that have really been surprises, and quite a few shows that should have been sure things have been passed over, or possibly bid up to high and dropped. But for some reason, this show just doesn’t seem like a “Sure Thing” to me, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it were announced later this year.

Huge fan of this show, as I’ve said before. It’s just crazy! And the whole music oriented theme: killer. I usaully get annoyed when they decide to put music in a show at really odd times, when it’s too loud and challanges the dialogue, but this one fit to me. The Pillows were practically half the show for me!

Well if your tired of the norm, or have seen too much, this series was a nice change of pace. Especially when it came out.
Plus it’s short, so it never over stayed it’s welcome. I guess it is cool to see any title get a rescue. However I am not going to be getting it personally.
At Sakuracon last year these guys did a pretty good cos-play of Fooly.

I also like both. I’m not a fan of the Excel dub though since I have a hard time understanding anything Excel says. Because of that would say I like FLCL a little bit more.

For those of you left wondering “why is FLCL so deep?” or “why is it so well liked” or even better yet “I don’t get it!”. I think this tv tropes page shows the genius of the series. There’s a lot there to grasp…that’s for sure! I once wrote out a long explination of the series on planetzot, but this is better written then anything I could come up with.
