There’s only one person who should play Rory, and that’s Hilary Haag. She’s already played a 900 year old vampire with the body of a young girl, namely Seth Nightroad in “Trinity Blood”, so she should have no trouble playing a bloodthirsty goth-loli with a libido that matches her bloodthirst…
I just imagined that and my ears are screaming NOOOOO! lol, No offense, I could see her voicing Kuribiyashi, but Rory, I don’t think so.
Actually, I could see Brittney Karbowski or Monica Rial doing Kuribiyashi or Lelei, but to each his own. BTW, can anyone confirm that the anime ends with book 8 of the novel series, the “All Out Battle” arc? The final 2 novels are titled “The Dark Gate” part 1 and 2 and the final episodes seem to follow the title “All Out Battle”. Sadly, the novel have only been translated to book 5 on the fan translation sites.

A. No idea who that “someone” is, but we haven’t released home video release details for GATE yet. We can confirm, however, that we are veering towards consolidated releases (case and point: My Love Story!! being changed from a 2-collection series to a 1 Collection series). In all likelihood, due to fan demand, GATE should be a 1 set, but that’s subject to change until we solicit the title.

About time. I don’t like being left wondering if a complete collection will ever come out for a title. Just get it out and cut this ridiculous wait time after collection 2.
I’d prefer complete collection releases as it saves Shelf Space, can put them in a better position than the competition (Hey Funi, at least Sentai is putting their 2 cour shows in a single collection!) and in the long run, it saves Bank, since instead of paying $120 retail for a split collection, you’ll usually pay only $80 for a combined collection due to less overhead (3 instead of 4 BD’s less packaging, less labor costs etc.)
(It will be interesting to see if they do a complete collection of Ushio & Tora being 39 Episodes and all)
I’ve since confirmed that the anime ends at vol 6 of the light novel series. Is there any word that the last four novels, “All Out Attack” and “Dark Gate” story arcs, will be also made into an anime? Also, I spotted on Amazon the English translation of the manga, as well as the original Japanese light novels.
Here’s my take. They probably want a certain VA for a particular Role (In this case I would bet Rory Mercury) , and have scheduled it far enough in advance so that the VA can work around whatever simuldubs they are working on for Funimation at the time. That and Product Approval for Premium editions.

Q. Since you guys will Dub Gate and Ushio & Tora for #TheDubsAreComing does that mean Gate and Ushio & Tora Season 1 & 2 should be together or there all been separate since these 2 Animes have 2 Seasons?
A. All 39 episodes of Ushio and Tora are actually all part of one season, hence we are planning to consolidate them into one release (versus the split releases of the past for longer shows like Akame ga Kill! and Parasyte -the maxim-). (Our first non-split release was My Love Story!!)
